...I know, a rubbish title but... I have been meaning to try out that double stamping that my mate Dan does... and this tag is my foray into this technique. And, I have to say... I rather like it! The latest "Hels must do" thing for me is to use some of my older Tim Holtz stamps... I mean, there they are, all folorn, sitting there, unloved, un-inked... and it just ain't good enough.
So, background on tag sorted by splashing a load of Stains onto the desk... smooshing the tag thru, spritzing with water and drying... I moved onto the stamping... namely the old tree from about 284 years ago. Stamped in Olive Archival I think it looks rather splending... however, I then went and did my usual trick of embellishing and you can't really see it... tis there though.. promise lol
Then...I used the birds... another oldie but goodie stamp... black Archival this time and stamped a couple of times so they look like they have some perspective. I then made a flower... which is a surprise for me because I don't normally have flowers on things I make... mwwahahahhaaaa... I used Kraft Resist and Tattered Florals and Fired Brick Stains... and added a couple of Tattered Leaves too.
The dream stamp was popped onto a piece of Kraft Resist that I had coloured with more Stains... stamping first in Vermillion Archival (ooooo, LOVE this new colour) and then over the top with black... just slightly offset so you can see the edges of the red bits... mmm, liking this effect... so thank you Dan for inspiring me! Anyways... tis all from me for today... another busy day ahead so I had better stop this waffling and get cracking! Thanks for looking... TTFN

I do love this tag and amazingly have many of the elements sitting on (or around) my desk. There are no prizes for guessing what I will be attempting this afternoon - including that oh-so-rare flower! A lovely way to spend a sunny Winter's afternoon in Oz ;-)
