Hi Honey, I'm Home...

...Cor Blimey!!! Indeedily!!! Nay and thrice!!! I am back... actually I have been back in Blighty since Monday afternoon but something happened on the plane on the way back from America and I have had to cope with it ever since... oh yes... indeedily (again) and nay and thrice (again) what happened on that plane was... I got chuffing jet lagged! Oh I know, we are only supposed to get jet lag when we fly out to America... because we are adding five hours onto our day... but oh no, I had not even a whiff of it when I got there. No, instead, it hit me coming home... to the point that I am barely functioning at the moment...

Not quite sure what I was doing on this one ...

I spent Monday afternoon sleeping... then having the deepest bath imaginable... like nostrils only showing hippo-fashion... (please don't try to visualise that... it will make you ill too) Then I watched a bit of telly... and had some supper... and slept... like 10 hours... then yesterday... pain levels were quite horrendous so I confined myself to the comfort of the sofa... and moaned a bit... watched a bit more telly... moaned a bit more... watched a bit more telly... slept a bit... ate a bit... you get the picture I am sure.

Soooo much to choose from!!!

This morning I leapt out of bed, full of vim and vigour.. actually, that is a fib, this morning I crawled out of bed and have since laid on the sofa, eaten a bit, watched a bit more telly... snoozled a bit... and now... I am forcing myself to stay awake! How can it be that I get jet lag on a return journey that is saving me five hours huh? Always one to do things the wrong way round I guess lol

And... yes, I left some on the shelf!!!

So... this rambling waffle is interspersed with more photo's from my amazing adventure... to say I had the time of my life would be an understatement. From the guys at Ranger and all the lovely friends I made, to the wonderful week with Ellen and Jack... I can't possibly put into words how awesome the whole adventure was. I am truly lucky to have such amazing friends, who all made me feel really welcome... and ever so special too. That's all from me for now... I need to go and lay down on the sofa again... oh and in case you were wondering... I did manage to bring a few packets of Cheesy Chester Cheeto's back with me... (like half a suitcase full lol) I am working on them as I type lol ... Thanks for looking... TTFN!

Welcome home! I'm guessing the jetlag only hit you when you got home because you were on such a high of excitement the whole time you were in the US - the adrenaline carried you through. Take it easy the rest of the week, hope you feel better soon.

It sounds like you shouold be very thankful you didn't get lagged on the way over, or you wouldn't have been able to enjoy yourself as well.

Have a nice rest this week!

Oh welcome home Ranger girl. Sorry the pain is getting to you, but so grateful it didn't spoil your time in the USA. Really looking forward to hearing more about what you got up too!

Bless you x You get jet lag due to the number of time zones you cross and recovery is normally one day per zone crossed....flying east west is worse then the other way around so that is why you got it coming home. Your poor old head does not know if its day or night. You need to set your clock again (body one that is) only sleep when it is dark, get back to our time as fast as you can and you will be fine xx Welcome Home xx

My dear, sweet, hilarious Hels...I'm so glad that you made it home safe and sound. America is a bit less bright this morning without you're being here. :( I know you're glad to get home though. I'm so glad that you had such an amazing time with Ellen after Ranger. You will need to give your smile muscles a rest...because I'm quite sure they were extremely overworked while you were here. Miss you my friend! <3 Candy

Welcome back! So glad you had such a fabby time both at Rangers and with Ellen.
Jetlag... urgh... don't get it coming over to Canada but it wipes you out going from here back to the UK... so now you need to set your internal clock to BST or carrying on lazing around on the sofa!! LOL

Looking forward to seeing what you did at Ranger U when you can manage it.

Welcome home Hels. I believe what you are suffering from is a little known disease called inspirational melt down, brought on by an overload of visual and auditory delights and crafting wonders. You will get over it, just rest a lot and eat plenty. Love your photos, hope we get to see lots more! xx
