Sunday Stampers - Week 143 - Parisienne Walkways

Goodly Morning Stampers and a very happy inky Sunday to you all... many thanks for the lovely entries last week... needless to say, I have been a little...erm... distracted this week but I have got around to visit all the entrants so far :O)) The new theme this week is in honour of Gary Moore who passed away two weeks ago... the theme for this weeks challenge is taken from that classic song Parisienne Walkways... so the theme is... PARIS. To join in with the challenge, all you need to do is make something, be it a card, tag, ATC etc and include the theme and some stamping. Leave a comment for me here along with a linky to the place you are showing your entry - or email me over a pic if you prefer... and I will hop on over to see you. The challenge will remain open until 21:00 Saturday 5th March 2011.

This week I have been playing with some new Distress Stains... ohhhh my, I lurve these... loads!! I used the Stains by smooshing them onto my craft sheet, spritzing with water and then dipping my tag into the inkyness. I used Antique Linen, Fired Brick, Weathered Wood and Forest Moss Stains and then edged the tag with Walnut Stain DI. I also used the Stains to colour the ribbons and the trim flowers along the base of the tag... I have a new fave ink to play with... they are... fab!

Oooh, and another thing I did with the Stains... I splatted the Fired Brick straight down onto the tag and where the tip hits the surface it gives a fabby splatter stain... I did this over the postmark on the image and then covered it with Glossy Accents to make a feature. Ooh and I nearly forgot, I also used the Stains to ink up stamps too... it is like a very juicy inkpad... so you get a nice squidgey image :O))

So... what have you got planned for Sunday? I am planning a morning of inkyness (using those Stains again LOL) and then an afternoon of chattering on Skype and then an evening of couch-potato'ing, I am an expert in that BTW! Right... time for bed... thanks for looking... have a inkylicious day... TTFN

Hels x

how wonderful that you had a good time at the tim class. like that is a surprise. haven't been checking blogs all week so had to catch up on all your cool stuff. the configurations box is fab. and i really like what you did with the tag today
is there much difference between putting the distress stains on the mat and spritzing with water to color the tags than with just using the distress ink pads? you're splat idea is so cool.

Fantastic tag - that stamp flew into my mind when I saw the theme, before I saw your tag - so if I end up using it, I'm not copying, ok, lol! You like the stains, then?? Did you buy them all or just a select couple?! Have a great day - I am guessing Ellen won't get a word in today with your tales of the class with Tim!!

Ooh, beautiful tag Hels!! I loved using the Distress stains on Friday & treated myself to one, so I could use it with the one we got in Tim's class. I have a feeling I'll be buying more. I also must get myself some Paris themed stamps, this would have been a fab challenge to attempt. Have a great week.
