Goodly Morning Stampers and a very happy Sunday to you all... many thanks for all your lovely "timely" entries to last weeks challenge. I have used Mr Random.org to chose a winning number from the comments/entries and the number he chose is #16 which belongs to the comment left by .....
Janet from Dash-Paw Congrats to Janet - please can you email me your deets and I will pop your stamps and ATC into the post for you :O))
On with this weeks challenge... another old favourite song of mine (I am such a 60's chick, I was born in the wrong decade LOL) The theme this week is... LOVE. I know, I know, it is an obvious one because of Valentines but... I couldn't let the day of lurve pass by without honouring it! To join in with the challenge all you need to do is... make a piece of art, include the theme and some stamping on it. Leave me a comment here to tell me where you are showing your art - or you can email me a piccie if you haven't got a blog/picassa/flickr etc... and I can then hop over to see your entry. The challenge will remain open until 21:00, Saturday February 19th 2011.
My entry this week is a little 4" square canvas that I have altered for my pressie to Grim this Valentine's Day. I do like to make him a little something for his Room of Man... now, he has seen this little pressie but he only looked briefly at it in its fancy bag... because he wants to "open" his pressie in the morning... aw... he is such an old romantic :O)) I used some Terra to cover the canvas and stamped the Stampotique Originals stamp "Daniel's Hearts" into it to make a textured background. I heat dried the Terra to make it bubbly and warty and then slapped loads of paint onto it to make the red/cream/gold colour it ended up as. I then layered up some Idea-ology and popped a "secret" message into the Ornate Frame... basically it is a coloured piece of card with my scrawly handwriting on it... you have to flip the frame almost backwards to read it but it is there as a little extra something for Grim.
Anyways... if you fancy a little challenge and feel some lurve, do join in ... there aren't any prizes for entering... just a big load of inky fun! Thanks for looking... have a brrrrilliant Sunday and an even better Day of Lurve tomorrow! TTFN
