WOYWW... Sticky Wabbit!

...Oh what a beautiful morrrrrrrningggggg... mwhahahahahaaaa... sorry about that, I sang to you - and no matter what time of day it is, my voice still has the propensity to make your ears bleed... anyways... goodly morning indeedily! It is a beautiful bright sunshiney day here in deepest Northamptonshire and it has fair put a spring in my step. And... it is Wednesday, any and thrice, the first Wednesday of 2011 (just as a matter of interest, are you saying twenty eleven or are you saying two thousand and eleven??? Grim is of the opinion that it is twenty eleven and I have heard announcers on the Beeb saying both... just wondering LOL) So, where was I? Ah, yes, Wednesday, which can only mean one thing... WOYWW - or What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday to give it it's proper title. Devised and hosted by Julia - click her name to read her hilarious blog posts and see all the deets on how to join in with the big ol' blog hop. *Do you like the jaunty angle of the picture? That is cos I am all arty - actually it is because I couldn't be bothered to move my chair out of the way so I just stretched my arm out and clicked the camera LOL*

My desk today is sporting my latest aquisition. (I am saying aquisition cos that sounds a bit better than saying the newest thing I have bought LOL) Remember the 12 Tags? And that the Duke of Distress was using a hot glue gun for his 3d pieces??? Well, durrrrr brain here has never thought of using hot glue - nope I always wrestle with a tube of silicone glue and end up covered in the slimey awful stinky stuff... but.. no more! I had been...erm... borrowing *ahem* Grim's glue gun but I have to say I got fed up with having to give it back all the time... you know, when you get asked... "where is..." and you have to keep replying "oh I just borrowed it like five mins ago and I will go and get it now for you because I had no intention of keeping it for myself and by the way you need to clean it and buy new glue stix for it..." *pauses for breath* So, my latest aquisition... rather fetching in shades of black and yellow it is a Loctite one and whilst I haven't actually tried it yet, I am sure it will be heaps better than that one of Grim's LOL

Oh... and also on the old desk today is... a gorgeous little charm that I got for Christmas from Ellen - check him out.. he is THE Wascally Wabbit that the Duke of Distress has as one of his stamps!!! I cannot wait to use this... oh and incase you were thinking that I have finally lost the plot with my title today - this is why it is Sticky Wabbits :O)) You might have noticed that there is a little pot of pink looking liquid on my shelf... this isn't strawberry milkshake... nope, it is a pot of mucky water that actually has been there since before Xmas - I really am turning into a Room of Stash slut - I promised I would keep this room tidy and I have broken that already! Anyways.. if you fancy a nosey around the desks of the world, pop on over to Julia's and you can join in too :O)) Thanks for looking... have a goodly day! TTFN

Hels x

You know I could not find my glue sticks for my gun? They turned up in a drawer in the loft when I was up there the other day!
Forgot how useful a glue gun can be!

Fab Wabbit, amazingly there isn't a Messy Wabbit in sight this week!! I've had a hot glue gun for years, use it for a bit of flower arranging, or making a door wreath, never considered using it for papercrafts.

ooh a mains powered glue gun - I used mine recently and the blimmin batteries kept flaking out on me-

also I apparently say 20 eleven though at the time I did not think of saying two thousand and eleven, on reflection 20 eleven is probably lazy?

But then as my desk shows I am slovenly..

I went through 3 glue guns last year, the first one was very old and gave up the ghost halfway through a wedding order, the 2nd just didn't warm up quick enough and I broke it (I wasn't impatient honest) so I am being very careful with no 3! Hugs Pam x

Yes, it's a very artsy fartsy view, I should try that with my cazmera. You workdesk looks so much more awesome. And I say twenty eleven.

Took me a day to get here, but I love your latest acquisition. I've owned a glue gun since FOREVER. In fact, I'm on my fourth one. However, I use this one less and less, since I discovered E-6000. But that doesn't always take into account what I need.

Your desk is fab this week. You have the right to sit in your chair and click after making that desk look so special this week. Happy WOYWW on Thursday from #16. this week.

Can you send some of that sunshine our way, please, it's grey, dark and wet here in Yorkshire, depressing January weather!!
Love your desk, I have a glue gun somewhere but never think of using it. I'll have to dig it out.

Love your tidy desk. I had a set of those tiny really useful boxes too, but one of them has vanished during my move back to my craft room. Another to add to the list of things to find. I have never plucked up courage to use a glue gun, I shall stick (literally) to my other glues for now.

twenty eleven or two thousand eleven? now that you mentioned it, i realized i don't think i've said it out aloud. i'm still figuring out my answer!

Barbara Mason said...

Your desk is rather tidy-Hels...I dug out my glue gun from the '90s as the TH suggested and have been gunning ever since!!! Much easier except for all those stringy bits...Love that wabbit!!! #139--my virgin WOYWW

twenty eleven for me. I don't like either much, don't exactly roll oft the tongue, huh!
Your desk has been ordered and commanded back into doing stuff - how fun! Keep your fingers away from that glue gun tip - it gets bl**Dy hot. Don't ask how I know!
