Oopsie-Daisies!!!

...oooh, you'd have thought that by the time I reach 40 I would be able to tell the time...well...erm... I can't... and... I have only gone and posted the One World One Heart event a day early... I got confused (something that does happen regularly) and thought that midnight on 30th was today... actually it is tomorrow... so... I have removed the OWOH post (ooops... LOL)

Anyways... here is a card I made last... well, I say a card, actually, it turned into three cards!!! What happened was... Grim says he needs a card for his Uncle and because I am oh so organised (yep, Resolution is still intact even now, the end of Jan - well, I have broken most of the others so the making 2 cards a week had to stay LOL) anyways... I have shown Grim (rather smugly I have to admit) all the cards I have made... and guess what!!! He chose... a really old one that wasn't birthday themed and asked if I could recreate that one and incorporate the birthday sentiment on it.

Well, never one for passing up a crafting challenge and opportunity, I set about recreating the original and did it in the Brown DI colours Grim wanted... then, I got a little overexcited and decided to make another using only blue DI's... And then I went totally over the top and made a third using only Orange DI's... and ... for the first time in about 900 years, I used... Dried Marigold! I have a bit of an aversion to this colour for some reason when actually it is a beautiful colour... it must be a throwback to my childhood, living in fear of a relative getting married and expecting me to wear a peach frock (actually, it never happened but the fear was enough ROFL) So... three cards, one theme, one style... and all different!!! Whatcha fink?

So, what have you got planned for today? I am looking forward to my weekly Skype session with Ellen and starting our new I Challenge Thee challenge. And then I shall be doing a "warm weather dance" because if it doesn't warm up above 3degrees tomorrow we won't get the concrete down on the drive... eeek, I am getting breathless with the anticipation of seeing this humungous stamp that they use for the imprinting! Right, I am off to lay down in a darkened room with a big clock and learn how to tell the time!!! Thanks for looking... have a GRAND Sunday... oooh, which reminds me, if you are looking for the Sunday Stamper... it was posted yesterday (cos ...erm... I couldn't tell the time ROFL) TTFN

Grim has good taste! It's a beautiful card and I think the stamp is amazing! The blue is my favourite colour but the other colourways come very close!

I didn't twig until I went away looking to 'hop' all over the place - and places were there none! Still better early than late I always say ;-)

Cards are lovely. I have that stamp and am in the process of building up my stash of ready made cards so may borrow your layout - if that's ok?

I get confused with midnight too - easily done. Love the cards - glad you did the orange one as well as the others. What am I doing today? Getting inky with your CJ for the BF group! x

Nice one (three) Hels!! I have a couple of male cards to make so I will snaffle your idea if you don't mind - I hate making male cards and never have any inspiration!!!!

I missed the early posting of owoh so I'm looking forward to seeing it later. :-)

Wonderful cards, Hels! Love all the colors, might as well make 3 as to just make one! lol! Here's hoping for warmer weather, where we both live! lol!

Gorgeous cards Hels and I know where you're going with the aversion to peach as I have one to orange dating from my childhood when my mum made me a frock with orange and brown flowers and I knew even at the age of around 8 that being very blond it looked hideous on me lol!!!
Hope the OWOH is going to reappear tomorrow cos I missed it anyway.
xx
PS: Hope the drive gets done too, fingers crossed for warmer weather.

I finks the cards are amazing, that's wot I finks, dearie! I would give a lot to see your warm weather dance, LOL, and hope you'll share pics of the driveway in progress! Over hear they call it "stomped" concrete - I guess they lay the forms on and then stomp on them to push it into the concrete!

Your cards are great and I love the stamp, heck I own that old Stamper's Anonymous, that one never goes out of style! I loved all the colors but I think the blue was my fave and I don't really like blue, so there you go.

Stop by my blog if you can, made this insane Alice dress form, take a butcher and let me know wotcha fink!

I love all three cards. I love the blue. The Marigold looks good too...not a color I usually use...think I will give it a try now!

Hi Hels, Love the splodgy backgrounds and the inchie stamps (are they inchies or one big stamp?) What do you mean you have a problem with time? It's simple, there is never enough time to do all the crafty things we want to do!

These three cards are beautiful, I love how you did them in the three different colors. Simple and elegant is what they are, and I love the backgrounds with the water marks.
