Sunday Stamper - Week 126 - Green Onions

Morning Stampers and a very happy Sunday to you all :O)) Thank you for all the divine skellingtons and skulls you all entered last week! This week is an "easy" theme... as the song title (which I have to add is a total classic) the theme is... GREEN *aha, bet you thought I had taken leave of my senses and chosen onions LOL* To join in all you need to do is make something - arty, a card, ATC, tag - anything goes.. include the theme and some stamping and then leave me a comment here with a link to the place you are showing your entry, then I can hop over and see what you made :O))

Apologies for the late posting of the challenge today, Mr T'Internet decided to play silly beggars last night - personally I think he may have decided to go out clubbing, he certainly wasn't working for us! I made a shadow box for my entry. The stamping is on the insert sheet of card inside... just a few background stamps from the Duke Of Distress and lots of Distress Inks and... because I haven't used it for a few days... Traditional Tan paint... which has then had a tidge of Distress Ink rubbed over the top to tint it green.

As usual, my photo's are ridikerlously baaaaad, I know I say this allllll the time but I really do need to learn how to take a photo with a flash that doesn't flash back at me... anyways... I used some ickle mini canvases for the three bits in the centre and covered these with old book pages and old music script - Claudine's Multi Medium is THE best adhesive for doing this... and cos I am a bit of a messy pup there are always a few bits of it on the front of the papers... which gives a really cool resist to the ink that is then popped over... I like this look actually... just as well though cos it appears a lot LOL

So... what do you have planned for today??? I am going to go through all my old "cute" stamps and list them on eBay... I have got a basket full of the blighters and I haven't used them since December last year... so that kinda tells me I don't really want them... so I should get rid of them... and then with the £ I make on eBay... erm... I could be sensible and save it but... well, all the new lovely stash that is arriving in the UK needs a home and it would be rude of me not to offer it one ROFL Right, better get listing... have a goodly day... thanks for looking... TTFN

I'll try and play this week 'cos I like green a lot but hate onions!! Nice tip about the medium and ink. I have some ickle canvasses just waiting to be made different so may just 'attack' one of them.

Can't believe how you manage to fit so much into a week. Wonderful shadow box, I love all the embellishments, the green element all beautifully put together. I don't have much time this week as the children are on half term but I have made a tag which is here. Hope the back has eased a little. Tracy Evans x
