Her Eye On The ART...

...Layers... lots of them... just what I lurve! So... *how I wish I could take the credit for this piece I made but.... * TOTALLY inspired by Mrs Wendy Vecchi and her amazing art parts... and stamps... and her FAB new book, I got down and dirrrty **oooh errr missus** with some Distress Inks, Grungepaper, Grungeboard... and a bit of Tissue Tape and made another... hangy piece!

This started off because a few weeks ago Wendy had done a quicky tut on her blog about how to make dimensional Grungepaper flowers... and the one I made has been kicking about my Room of Stash since then... just waiting for me to give it a home.

The whole of this piece is cribbed from a project in Wendy's latest book... right down to covering the art part frame with Tissue Tape and adding a scalloped border with dots... oh and then there is the Grungeboard butterfly... he has an Idea-ology lock over the top of him and a dab of Glossy Accents in the centre to show up the FLY (which doesn't show in the pics) I made one of those epoxy memo pins that Wendy makes... and I also made a similar thing using those new Idea-ology jobbies... I can never remember what they are called... hang on, I will get the packet... aha, simples... Charm Clips... not sure how to use these really so I bunged a stamped ART into the middle, filled with Glossy Accents ('scuse the RUBBISH pics - too impatient for it to dry properly LOL) and then added an Idea-ology Bauble on a Jump Ring... however, I no like the pearl so think I will change it to a Chandelier Bead... so it is like a tear drop...

So, the big flower had a few Grungepaper leaves popped behind it and then silicone glued into place... I added the little birdy, cut from Grungeboard and coloured with DI... then stamped the hand onto the frame... mmm, did not work out how I wanted it but hey, it is a trial and error thing isn't it??? This making arty things :O)) The hanger is a couple of clips and some Idea-ology chain... has anyone got the new Lace Chain??? Is it nice??? Have you used it yet??? And... more importantly... DO I NEED IT??? ROFL

Have you seen the time? I know, stoopid o'clock again... thing is, Grim is just getting ready for work... so that means that I have been Mrs Tippytoe this evening and having locked myself in the Room of Stash, I have to say I had fun playing but I am sooooo needing my comfy pillows and duvet now... so I shall say... thanks for looking... and... TTFN!

Hels x

Oh Hels, another gorgeous creation. I have never seen any of Wendy's books but am on the look out now. I reckon this piece cost at least £150 to make. Cheap at half the price!!
