Simon Says...

...Stamp & Show... the new challenge blog that I had every intention of joininG in with last week but ran out of time... has a new theme this week... and the theme is... WENDY VECCHI. Obviously, this is one that I just couldn't miss out on... being as I am a Wendy stalker, I mean... fan LOL

I decided to alter an old CD - covering both sides with papers from the Retro Grunge pack... and then using 490 background stamps and Distress Inks over them. I also sanded the edges to make them a little more grungey.

The flowers are all Studio 490 stamps ... including some of the new ones (tee hee, I have two sets already... ooooh, did I mention that already?) Well, if you want to pre-order these fabby new designs, if you click here I have set up a charabanc to take you over to The Stamp Attic :O))

I used Grungepaper for the flowers, colouring with Distress Inks and making a little rose for the centre of the main flower. The rest of the decs are Maya Road chip and their pins too... some of them... oooooh, I am sooooo excited about this... were a present from THE Wendy Vecchi herself... look at that Star... isn't it just FAB!? I used some Idea-ology for decoration, adding on some ickle pearls which were threaded onto those pin thingy's that you have already told me the name of but I have forgotten already (blame the age.. not the blonde ROFL) and I added on some Chandelier beads too... all of the stashy bits can be gotted from The Stamp Attic btw... oh and the Memo Pins were copied directly from Mrs Vecchi herself, pop a little image into the middle, fill with Glossy Accents and voila! Custom made embellies!

Well, woe and thrice... we never got to see Shrek! *sad face* cos... it isn't on at the cinema near us... and the other one which is local-ish, only has it showing in the morning, I cannot do the cinema in the morning... I would never be able to stomach all the popcorn and the Nacho's with extra jalopeno's and sauce... guess we will have to wait til the DVD comes out and I will have to nag Grim to win the lottery and buy me a 3D telly LOL However, all was not lost... instead we had the most divine chinese takeaway... ooooh, I had Duck *sorry Kathy* in Plum Sauce, Shredded Smoked Chicken and egg rice... cor it was lush and... cos I can never eat a massive meal, we have enough left for tea tonight! Result! Now... moving on... I had several Q's yesterday about the state of my desk... the main one being: "what are all the things with black circles down the sides?" Well, they are my most prized stashy possession... my Studio 490 stamps, in their binders (which still need decorating - am waiting til Wendy comes to visit and she can do them for me ROFL) and yes, it does look like I have...erm... a lot... but... I haven't got them all! Honest, there are all the new ones (save for the two I have) to collect yet... I am a bit obsessive about collecting my 490 stamps... I want *FOR THAT, READ NEED!* the full set... but, on the other hand, all the other stamp collections will never be complete... so I am a good girl really LOL Anyways, enough waffles from me... oooh, HEADPINS! it came back to me, the name of those thingy-wotsits! Thanks for looking... TTFN

Don't worry hels, I put my hands over the ducks ears (where are their ears?)while I read out your blog, so they didn't hear. The d---k in the pancakes was always my favourite Chinese, until I gave up meat! Anyways I am wofferling, (now where did I learn how to do that!)the art work is great I hope it is not a Beatles CD! Very clever, I love the use of the music and the colours. x
