Grungey Curiosities...

....wheyhey... tis Monday and I am back again with my entry for the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge, hosted by that ever so clever and super talented Linda... if you click on her name, I have arranged for Mr Blogger to take you on a superfast trip around the World, so quick that if you blink you will be there before you realise...*ok, I am making out like I have a super power and can make you travel about for nowt... a slight exaggerations...but... click on her name anyways LOL* I shalln't spill which page we are on or what technique we are doing this week... and, oh my, I have to win this week cos... Simon Says Stamp are sponsoring the challenge and I neeeeeed that certificate so I can buy some Timmy stash :O))

So, I made a tag, yes sireeee, this is #8 and there are 35 weeks of the challenge so I have... erm... a very lot more to make to complete the challenge LOL I used Distress Inks, Grungepaper and Grungeboard which was plain and harlequin - cut with some Alterations... I hammered the heart and the escutcheon *ooooh, get me, escutcheon, I am not that clever really, it is a keyhole but escutcheon is such a coolio word to say - but not to type so I won't say escutcheon again LMAO* So, where was I again??? Ah, yep, hammering with Tim's Texture Hammer.. I looooooooooooove doing that, makes a right row and is kinda therapeutic! The stamping is from the Tim collection... and I added some Idea-ology for garnish ;o))

Check out the ickle ticket... did I mention that I got Tim's 100th collection, you know the one signed by the Duke of Distress himself... in gold no less! Oh, I have mentioned it... silly me! Anyways... the ticket was the empty one and then filled with one of the sentiments that fit perfectly inside. And... check out the keyhole! Ickle piccies of peeps in there... the story goes that they are secret lovers and have to keep their lurve behind locked doors...*see, I am an old romantic at heart... but the idea is totally nicked from another part of the C of C book... you didn't really think I could think up something that clever didya?*

So... there was muchly excitements in the house of Sheridan this morning... our Postie finally turned up with my Craft Stamper... oooohhhweeeee, I love the latest copy - not only cos...erm... I made something for it... but cos the whole mag is chock full of heavenly pieces that are just divine... tis a grand copy indeedily! I have to tell you all something though... cos if I don't I will get nagged again... the photo's of me making the roses for the Step by Steps... they were taken by Grim... he is a closet photographer *I don't mean he goes about taking photo's of wardrobes and suchlike, or even that he stands inside the wardrobe to take the pics* I have been wittering on at him for yonks to get a Blog and show off his photo's... they are very good you know! Anyways... I am offski - there is a small matter of a mountain of ironing to tackle... and... tis also a special someone's birthday on Weds and I still haven't made his card... ah... he reads my posts so ... if you have got this far reading it Grim, I made your card three weeks ago and have it hidden ROFL... Rightio... don't forget to check out Linda's challenge and her blog too while you are there.. her art is stunning.... TTFN

Hels, have I mentioned lately how much I adore you? I love this post, and I love everything about your splendiferious tag, too!

You inked that grunge in the most wonderful ways, and your "secret lovers" theme is fabulous! I can't wait to get that 100th Stamp Set so I can do such clever things. And.. is that a page from a romannce novel I see in the corner?

Your keyhole (I can't begin to spell that other word!) is the perfect finishing touch to this masterpiece of grungy goodness!

Great tag Hels you must craft all day and all night, as there is always something to marvel at on your site. Great photos Mr Grim, maybe a new career in the offing! If he is not looking Hels, any ideas for a card for my husband for Friday?

Hello Hels,

nice tag again and a lot of grungepaper with the inking grunge technique !

I like the hidden photo and the stitching on the tag too.

greetings from belgium
Inge
PS : I ordered the 100 set at Simonsaysstamp and I got in in my hands even before it was released in CHA ! Lucky me, cause it would take months before it is here in belgium.
I think I'll preorder some new stuff at theirs too... or maybe wait a bit... I would also like to win this one :) so I can order some more without feeling guilty...
