...Freddie Mercury??? That stamp of Tim's on the ever so scary Cirque plate ...you know the one that I had to have cos of this stamp and really don't like looking at those scarey clowns but have used them once because I was determined not be to beaten by some scarey dodgy looking geysers in face paint!? Anyways... in the book that I didn't like at first and now seriously lurve, the Compendium of Curiosities... well, in that book, the Duke of Distress himself has made an ATC that looks fab... so I thought, being as I am a total copycat and love anything made by his Dukeness, I would ... erm... copy it! Well, to a certain degree, you will find that the little Type Charm is slightly different on mine... but that is about all that is!!!
Anyways... I will finally get around to telling you that this is the last of the ATC's I made last week... you know, I made loads, have given them all away apart from this one... *well, techernically, I still have the two for Thursday's draw .. but you know what I mean* So.. don't you think that this fella looks like one of my heros... the one and only Freddie Mercury... are you a Queen fan? I lurve Queen *got all the albums* and one of my biggest regrets was not actually seeing them live before Freddie passed away. I had the chance to go to Live Aid... but cos I was only 15 at the time, I "wasn't allowed" . I shoulda done that teenage rebellion thing and snuck off and gone anyway. Thing is, that London was like toooooo many miles away to sneak off to without parently nosings into the bedroom wondering why teenage rock music loving daughter was soooo quiet... and... more pointedly... my bedroom window only had a hopper opening.. so no sneaking out of that one! If I had gone, the telling off and grounding for a year after would have been so worth it though!
Anyways... I waffled off a bit there didn't I??? IF you would like this ATC... all you have to do is leave me a comment here... and I will use that clever old Random.org to draw out a number/name on Friday August 20th and announce it then...and then pop it into the post for you So! Do you have any regrets from when you were a teenager? Or any stories of wild parties while parents were away and trying to dispose of several thousand Grolsch bottles and ciggie butts? *oooh, there speaks the voice of experience! Actually, I was remarkly savvy as a teenager and had the parties at my friends house... I always helped her tidy up though... or rather, we sat and ordered her brother about ROFL* Blimey, I sound like a right rebel there don't I? Me? As if! Butter wouldn't melt! Much! ROFL... right I am off to sit on the chair... Grim and his son are out at footy this evening... so I am making the most of getting my btm on that chair and I shall watch some TV (you watch now, there will be naff all on!!!) Oh, and I have just realised, I have been so busy wittering on, I never told you how I made the ATC... ah well, if you have any Q's, please just ask! Thanks for looking... TTFN...

I was just thinking about Freddie Mercury this morning, and how brilliant he was... and how much I miss his voice. I love Queen. You're right, this stamp DOES look like him, and I love the whole thing!
Love this ATC Hels. You are so right, he looks the image of Freddie - LOVE Queen. No teenage rebellion from me - good Catholic girl- don't ya know!!! Have a good evening - hopw the back is feeling better. S x
It is Freddie Mercury !!!??? !!!
Sue xx
ooooh its my Birthday on Friday the 20th I'll be 40ish again....I wonder if Mr Random thingy will choose me to win the gorgeous Freddie!!
fingers crossed.xx
I love the ATC - and yes, it looks like Freddie. I saw Queen (oh, I've told you this before, lol and you hated me for .... a while..) 1975 it was. Brilliant. Just brilliant. I used to sneak off to football matches with my mates - in the days when you could turn up at football grounds without tickets and just QUEUE to get in. Think we did all the London grounds when Liverpool were playing. Ah, memories!! Saw Kevin Keegan driving away in his sports card once when the match was called off for a waterlogged pitch. So that was before 1977 when he left. Oh, showing my age!!! Got to go, told you too much.
wonderful ATC...and yes,he does look like Freddie - I love Queen too have done for the last 25years (blimey I feel old)My fave album is 'Sheer Heart Attack'.Whats your fave?
Love this atc girl! Awesome job on it! I could tell you stories that would curl your hair! Lots of things that shouldn't have happened!
Definitely Freddie Mercury and love the background which is totally right for him. Great ATC, a lot of power here..... Annette x
Freddie Mercury, strong like bull! Love this!
I like him, he is suitably outrageous! I love your blog, it makes me laugh and your inspiration is fabulous. Thanks for the chance to win your ATC. K x
Just love it. I have ll the Queen albums. I just love driving around with my hood down, sun blazing (haha!!) and Queen blaring out. Yes I'm one of those noisy music drivers, and I'm 64 on Thursday - but I always said I would grow old disgracefully, and I'm not stopping now ...
Hugs

Love it! It DOES look like Freddie! That paper is stellar behind him, there. Fab ATC! Love it! Oh, I already said that....
oh my... stories of teenage rebellion... I think I postponed mine until the late teens...managed to survive high school with the "good girl" reputation, then I went off to college and, well.... so much for the "good girl".... she has returned now that I've grown up a bit, except for the smoking.... ughhhh...so hard to quit!!
oh Hels - this is wonderful! you do have an eye for this!
Sandra
Very cool! Love all the energy!
Haha now you come to mention it there is a definite striking similarity!!

yep he does look like him ....spooky. I know what you mean about clowns...can't stand them although I did buy the ATC stamp with them on as you never know one day I might need it, at the moment its hiding at the back of my stash...lol
hugs
Certainly does look like Freddie, I love this work, it's fantastic. xx
Awwww, adored Freddie, one of the saddest days of my life when he went. Lucky enough to see them live a couple of times, seen loads of live bands but he was the BEST, nothing will ever live up to him. Fantastic stamp, yep, a definite Freddie-a-like.
Miss you Freddie xxx
Can´t argue with u on that! He shore looks like freddie! lol lovely ATC by the way!
Thanks for letting me, a non UK gal, enter for a chance to win this. Not sure who Freddie is, but I sure love the card.
Raised by grandparents, I towed the line as a teen. Nothing to tell, sadly.
I remember (many years ago) having the chance to go to a Duran Duran concert - my parents said no, all my friends went and I got teased about it all through my teenage years :( Love your atc though - very Freddie - Jacqueline xx.
Super ATC and it's def Freddie Mercury.

Oh! I am so glad you said that...I have ALWAYS referred to that weight lifter as Freddie.
The best voice in rock, IMO. Yep, Queen rocked us, they sure did.
Love the ATC!
Eileen

Fabulous ATC, Hels. As always :)
Would love to give him a home, lol. x
ah, many the days that i stand about lifting a barbell over my head while posing in black tights. therefore, you should ban the magic random thingy and just send this card my way. well, it was worth a try anyway
Hels, I love it! My DH met Freddie and was a big fan, so if I am lucky enough to win it, I will frame it for him for his birthday... xo
You surely MUST know that I am a great big Queen fan, so much so that I have left instructions to have their music played when I erm 'pop off'. Now surely that qualifies me as the winner of this amzing ATC - especially as you ignored my pleas for the last ones!!
Luv Joanne xx
Definitely Freddie - love the ATC Hels, wasn't he just fab.
