Curiously Crackled... Part II

...I know, it isn't Monday but... I loved the Compendium of Curiosities challenge so much this week, that I decided to make another tag! It isn't often that I use my Distress Cracklepaints... so this was a perfect excuse. If you are wondering what I am on about... check out Linda's blog... her art is amazing... and she's the clever lass behind the whole challenge idea... brilliant huh!?

I used Worn Lippy Cracklepaint... which I have to admit was as thick as custard and looked a bit yuk... so I splodged a load of water into the pot and gave it a mix ... and it is fine again and crackled really well. I am being honest when I admit that I have been soooo lazy this week, and not put away my inks from the last project, that I just picked up Pumice Stone and Aged Mahogany... and they went really well with the Worn Lippy. After some smidging and smudging into the crackles, I splooshed some water onto the tag, dried it with a heat gun and added a little bit of stamping - of course I had to use the stamps of the Duke of Distress... an old pagey backgroundy one and one of the newer spriggy swirly ones... blimey, my descriptive skills are second to none now! I made a flower *using the Alterations Die* for the tag *I know, I know, one of those flowers again* I am still reading the torn pages as I ink them you know... I now know that the main character is called Helen and she is a bit of a one by the sounds of it... mmm, familiar??? ROFL

I used some Idea-ology to finish it off... added on some string around the middle.. and a Ticket from the Ticket Alteration and new 100th Collection *don't worry, I promise not to mention that I have this set already... signed in gold, won't mention that at all ;o)* SO... you will never guess what I did yesterday!!! I... Twittered... or Tweeted... or whatever they call it... tis still a mystery to me really... I figured out that I could use my mobile to add Tweets... so now I reckon that I need a posher mobile, like an IPhone perhaps... *says loudly so Grim may hear* Anyways... guess what!!! My very first follower was none other than my crafting heroine herself... Mrs Wendy Vecchi... I was so excited I did a little chair dance... my name on there is Hels_Sheridan... being totally computer illitarate, it may take a few years for me to suss it out totally but I will try! Anyways... don't forget... Stamperama at Stevenage tomorrow... hope that I get chance to meet up with you if you are going... please do pop over to see us *by us I mean Jennie and me... not "us" as in me and my other self cos that would be a bit weird even for me!!!*... I am doing Make & Takes... exciting! Thanks for looking... and... have a goodly day... TTFN

totally gorgeous as is the flower, glad you can still keep up with story as your inking up....that reminds me, I used some text as a background but I didn't read it until I had finished and the words sex and cocaine jumped out off the page to me.....lol, thing is it wasn't a racey type book, so I always use french or Italian text now, have a good day

I like your tag very much, the Crackle Paint is very effective. I have done the same, adding water, cos if you don't use them for a while they dry up.

You have put so much great detail onto one little tag. What a beautiful flower!
