Curiously Medium...

...Whooohooooo...tis another Monday post which means... it is time for the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge, hosted by the uber talented and ever so loverly Linda... I am always waffling on on my posts about how I made the art, what I used etc... but on this one I am going to *try* keep things to a minimum so you can go and see Linda's Blog and see what the theme is this week...mmm, it isn't going to be easy not spilling the beans but I will try...

I made a tag! Yay! Actually, I may have mentioned before *just the odd couple of hundred of times* that I love making tags and I am making a tag for each of these challenges so I have one big pile of tags to make into something else at the end of it... erm... there are 35 challenges...so the thing I make is gonna be a biggy LOL

The usual stashy bits were used; Distress Inks - Pumice Stone... which is my fave of the new bunch, along with the others that are faves too... but... Pumice Stone is clever...because... if you put it with blues, it goes smokey, if you put it with oranges, it goes beigey and if you put it with reds it goes... grey! So, I used some Idea-ology, some Grungepaper which was cut using the Tattered Florals Alterations Die...I used an old hymn bookpage for adding some torny bits... using the "technique" for this weeks challenge on the bookpage, the Idea-ology and the Grungepaper... can you tell what it is yet? I am doing so well not blabbing what the theme is!!! So... I then got some really ancient old lace that I found in a junk shop... rolled it up and faffed with it til it sort of resembled a flower and popped this onto the middle of the big flower... and then used some new crochet trim and tied this across the middle of the tag. I did do some stamping on this tag but you can't really see it cos I... erm... got so carried away with the embellishing...

So, how did I do??? Did you suss it out as soon as I started to waffle or are you anxious to hop off to Linda's blog to see all about it??? Anyways... I am off now... to get ready to go and see Edward, I mean Eclipse...and believe me, the bucket of Popcorn I plan of scoffing will be no where near "medium"... it will be HUGE! Thanks for looking... and just out of interest... do you prefer Salt or Sweet Popcorn? I am a Sweet girl.. *you knew that anyways though :O))* and Grim prefers Salt... which means... I get to stuff the whole bucket myself ROFL TTFN...

Hels x

Drat! Just left a really witty comment and got a blogger problem!! (wonder what I said...) Love this - how do you do them so fast? Or have you just done all of them and post when the relevant theme appears?
Not at home yet so can't try this, and don't have any of the (theme requirement) so maybe stuck.
Enjoy Edward's company - sorry, Grim's company tonight, and the popcorn. (sweet, always sweet)

Darn right it's going to be a biggie if you plan on using all those tags, I'm thinking total wall of the house, lol. Great tag, love the colors, and yes, I agree about the pumice stone, didn't think I would like it, but I REALLY do! As for popcorn - lightly salted and heavily buttered......

How did you do? You ROCKED it, Hels! Holy leaping housecats, girl, this is spectacular!!! Everything about it is perfection, and I could just go on and on... and on.. about your incredibly skills as a papercrafter.

By the way, thanks for the info about Pumice Stone ink. I've not mixed it with other colors, and now I can't wait to get home and try it out!

You're the bomb, Hels! Thanks for being your fabulous self. ♥

Great work
Now popcorn, the sweet makes me fatter and the salt is bad for my heart so, I would probably have a large one of each! Enjoy the film x

Wow, Your work is truly inspiring. I look forward to mondays not only for the challenge of the week, but what you do with it as well. I never see this until lunchtime at work on Mondays - so I am a tad bit jealous that you are home making art, and I'm at work....
Thank you for sharing your beautiful art with us.

Popcorn: Love Kettle Korn, although I've never seen it offered at a theater. Nothing beats that theater butter flavor though.

HAHHAAHAHAHAHA!!!! The popcorn comment at the end KILLED me! I also am a popcorn enthusiast... bordering on connoisseur... and I prefer the salty (really the main preference is for BUTTER), but we could go to the movies together no problem - one sweet bucket for you... one salty bucket for me! HEE! (Oh, and I love your tag!!)
