Phew...What a Scorcher...

... Yes, I admit, I moan and whinge when it is cold and wet...but today it has been just tooooo hot to do anything at all... all day! Plus, I have run out of meds and have to wait for the new GP to sort out my files etc before getting some so today has been "one of those days" and tomorrow, fingers x'd I will have a new prescription!

Anyways...following on from yesterday's post about being an alcohol-inkaholic... here is the card I made using the square of card made using the Monoprint Technique from the Compendium of Curiosities. Tis a pals anniversary tomorrow so I used the piece, cut it up, stamped an Agapanthus image using Archival Ink, added a sentiment and then made a butterfly using the very first stamp I ever bought.

Yesterday was fab - thank you everyone for your anniversary wishes for me and Grim... the picnic was lovely... apart from Grim being attacked by horse flies - he is covered in bites - oh and the fact that he went topless and now resembles a partially cooked lobster (I shouldn't but...ROFLMAO) I caught the sun a bit too... I now have a very defined freckle moustache, very attractive LOL .... Thanks for looking... am off to bed now - Grim is on earlies this week and hopefully I have a visitor coming tomorrow and need to get my beauty sleep 'cos... blimey she can talk the hindleg off a Hels (another I shouldn't... but ROFLMAO) Oh, and we had AlfieCat to his new V E T *whispers cos he is sitting next to me* and she said he was "handsome" "very big" and ... he is a "healthy boy". He has a touch of gingivitis again so we have some biotics for him - and he has had his booster too... wish me luck, am just off to give him his first pill... he usually just sits there and opens his mouth but he has been showing signs of mardiness today... probably cos he hates the box and hates the car even more ... bless him... TTFN... see ya tomorrow for the WOYWW...cannot wait cos I have just got the sweetest little thingy ever...can't wait to show ya!

Hels x

Hels, this is gorgeous, what lovely colours you've combined. I love the happy anniversary stamp, and the butterfly is so pretty.
Hope you get your new meds tomorrow and how intriguing your hint about WOYWW!

Gorgeous colours - that's been one of my favourite AI techniques for a long time and it always turns out beautifully, doesn't it? Love it - I've been stamping flutterbies lately, too! Hope your GP sorts him/herself out and you're okay, Hels!

I have to agree with you Hels, it's been far too hot for me, I have aubutn hair and fair skin so this weather is just not for me, I love the Spring and Autumn. Been in the garden all day and now I'm exhausted cause of the heat, just makes me want to sleep. Love the artwork, the colours are fab and love the butterfly. Have a good evening, Tracy Evans x

This is absolutely stunning Hels. The colours look just gorgeous and I think I might have to get Sir Tim's book, I've been thinking about it for a while but no craft shop down here has it.
Wishing you a slightly belated Happy Anniversary too and glad to hear you had a good time tho Grim's bites sound rather painful.
Hope you get your meds sorted soon too.
xx

I love alcohol inks Hels and this card is stunning. I bet your friends were well pleased with it.

It's been too hot for me for a week now, lol! I now I'm a misery but I don't like it - everything is too much effort and it's difficult to sleep. I'll soon be one big freckle too. Right, whinge over!

Hope you get your meds tomorrow and start to feel better quickly.

See you tomorrow for the desk visits but it might be evening before I get chance to post mine.

Hugs
