*tra la la lahhhh* Not the song title for this post though...the all the way from America is actually....*oooh, I am soooo lucky :O)* something that Postie brought me this morning...which is....Wendy Vecchi's new book...and... she signed it for me too!!!! *does a happy jig* And, it is chock full of amazing and inspiring projects...so it would have been a bit remiss of me not to whip upstairs to the Room of Stash and get inky.
One of the projects shouted at me...it did honest, it yelled out my name and then said...in a very small voice...make me! So I did! I used some different colours to the ones Wendy had used for the background...Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge and Forest Moss for the background, stamped with Brushed Corduroy. The base itself is an off cut of mountboard which I sanded around the edges to make them curvy...I neeeeed one of those Corner Chompery things that bites thru mountboard and chipboard...*drops large hint for Grim, who hopefully will read this and feel sorry for me having to put up with sandpaper rather than a proper machine* The rose was made using Grungepaper, coloured with Barn Door (gotta love that red) and then stamped over with some more background 490 stamps.
I can highly recommend this book BTW...it is so well written ...Wendy has that certain style that just explains stuff and makes it all look easy...which it is really, once you have the know how...*hey, I sound like a groupie....er,....I think I am !!!!* Anyways, if you are wanting to get your hands on some of the new Studio 490 stamps and the book you can pop over to The Stamp Attic :O) Thanks for looking...I am off back to drool over the book again ...oh and please remember to pop by tomorrow...there is a brand new Sunday Stamper challenge...with...exclusive previews of some fabby new stamps...*told you it was my lucky day*
