Heavy Metals....

...There is a new challenge on the Gingersnap Creations blog today...the theme being Metallics. I made a card for my entry...and keeping in with the embossing theme this month...er...went a bit bonkers with the gold powder :O))

I used some fab Serendipity stamps...those butterflies are so sweet and the sentiment is one that I have been after for yonks and seem to be using it almost everything at the moment LOL **as usual the photo's are baaaaaaad, I need to try and get this card done in natural light...it does look better in the real...honest :O))**

The main image was stamped and embossed with gold...and then I added some gold Stickles to it ... more bling...and made a fancy centre piece using a Martha Stewart punch and some gold cardstock, adding gold thread with a little gold butterfly charm...and finishing with gold brads. You may be misled into believing that I like gold...actually, I am more of a silver girl but for some reason this stamp just told me to use gold with it...do you ever get your stamps talking to you? NO!!!? Just me that is barking mad then ROFL

Thanks for looking...don't forget to hop over to the Gingersnaps...the challenge is fab..and there is candy up for grabs too :O))

My stamps talk to me all the time. And I'm completely sane. No really, I am!

Enough about me. The gold looks fabulous and the card totally rocks.

This is beautiful Hels: Such a classy card with black and gold.
I read your tutorial on gingersnap and thought it was great and love your examples: I knew of the first 2 types of resist already but have never seen gesso used for resist and have added all three on my mental list of things I really want to do more/have a go at. Thanks.
