Monochrome...A Question!

...There is a brand new challenge on the Gingersnap Creations blog today...and the theme is Monochromatic...I know some peeps think that this means black and white, others think that it is one colour and white or cream...what do you think?

I think it means black and white...and I made a card using some fab cardstock from Paper Temptress along with some Agapanthus stamps (can't remember the maker) and my fave Brush Butterfly by Penny Black. I stamped the images with Black Soot DI and spritzed the stamp with water to get a splotchy effect. A few brads, some pearls and some ribbon were added for embellishment too.

If you get chance, hop on over to the Gingersnaps..they have some FAB art on there and great tutorials too. Thanks for looking...have a good day!

I googled it for you...

Monochrome[1] is a term generally used to describe painting, drawing, design, or photograph in one color or shades of one color.[2] A monochromatic object or image is one whose range of colors consists of shades of a single color or hue; monochrome images in neutral colors are also known as grayscale or black-and-white.

:0) Hope that helps. It helped me.

Love your black and white :0)

Gorgeous. Not to mention beautiful. I'll have to steal, I mean borrow this idea!

I think the stamps are Stampendous. I could go and check as I have them, but that would involve getting up from the couch, so it's just not going to happen!

Monochrome to me is shades of one color - white and black would be the ultimate ends of any color range right?

So this works for me!

My brain can't grasp monochromatic so I haven't done anything yet. I love this though. Black & white always seems so elegant to me. Very lovely. And Paul Stanley was a little weird the other night. Said he was in Portland and he was in Seattle, said he was touring Canada and left the sentence hanging. Pretty wild. Got some fun videos. I'll pick one out just for you and share it :-)
