Morning Stampers :O))
Thank you to all of you who joined in with the rose theme last week, again, loads of fab artwork for me to look at...thank you x
This week the theme is a simple one...just include the colour Blue in your artwork along with some stamping. I have made two entries for this weeks challenge, using the brand new stamps from The Artistic Stamper.
Blue Bird Canvas:
This is a little 4" square canvas, which I primed with Gesso and then painted with Traditional Tan from the Claudine Helmuth studio, once this was dried, I used Distress Inks to add in more colour and then stamped the dotty and the houndstooth background stamps using Walnut Stain. The ickle birdy is a Maya Road chip shape, painted with Ranger Cracklepaint. The card pieces are cut out using a Nestie and shapes from my Slice. The sentiment is from the Studio 490 stamps by Wendy Vecchi.
I added a few bits and bobs from the Idea-ology range and then finished off by making a Grungepaper rose using the new Flower Power stamp from The Artistic Stamper. This was coloured with Broken China and then overstamped with the houndstooth to add texture.
Blue Dreams Hanging Art:
This piece was made from cutting lots of pieces of card in the CriCut...and then sticking them all together to make a sturdy base and layer piece. Coloured with Distress Inks, this piece then had the Houndstooth and the Distressed Stripes stamped onto the background and a piece of gingham ribbon to separate them. The card pieces are cut using the Slice and a Nestie and embossed with a Bug folder.
I used the Flower Power plate again, this time using the medium sized flower, to make a Grungepaper rose, this was coloured as above. The metal bits are from the Idea-ology range and the sentiment and leafy stamp is by Wendy Vecchi again.
If you would like to join in with the challenge, please pop a post here once you have Blogged your artwork, along with a link to the place you are showing it so I can come and have a look. The challenge will be open for a week so there is no rush...you can call back whenever you like :O))
Thanks for looking, have a great Sunday and a great week......
