Hello,
I have been hosting a "little house" swap for the past few months and these are a couple of the houses I made for the swap.
The rules were that the houses had to be an ATC with a roof - it didn't matter which way the ATC was used, landscape or portrait and the roof could be any size or shape. The other rule was for the houses to be inky and stampy and a little bit "different".
I have already Blogged the first house on the Sunday Stamper a couple of weeks ago - so I won't bore you again LOL
House 2
Isn't she beautiful? I love this stamp more than any of my others...well, for today anyway, I am always loving one stamp more than another...good job they don't have feelings :O))
She is by Innovative Stamp Creations and whenever I see her, I always think of my friend Linda, cos she used this stamp before I had seen anyone else use it...and she used it soooo well...actually, while I am rabbiting on about Linda, pop on over to her Blog..she has the most amazing artwork on there AND she was featured on Inspirational!! Go Linda :O))
The colours used are Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Worn Lippy and Fired Brick Distress Inks - all blended together and spritzed with water. The other stamps used are by Art Journey - they just all go together really well :O))
House 3
I used Distress Inks to get the background colours - Weathered Wood and Vintage Photo, blending them and spritzing them and then using a waterbrush to colour in the little swallows - these stamps are by Oxford Impressions, I just treated myself a few weeks ago for these but darn it, I got clobbered for the excise on them....never mind - they are so worth it as they stamp beautifully.
The little swallow charm has been lurking in my stash for years and I have wanted to save it for something special, I figured it was time to set it free! I made a little tassle using sparkley thread and then added the swallow to the tassle as a little adornment.
Thanks for looking - hope you all are having a good week. I have to just brag a little bit....we went to Wembley on Sunday to see the Johnstones Paint Trophy - and our team, Luton Town, won!!!! I have to admit that until I met Grim, I hated footy, thought it boring and couldn't see the passion in it. Er....well, let's just say that I spent most of the game either crying or biting my nails and when the Captain lifted the cup, well, lots of tissues were needed (for both of us!) Luton Town were treated appaulingly by the FA at the beginning of the season, having to start on minus 30 points and it now looks like they will be relegated out of the League - however, what a wonderful achievement and a history maker Sunday was! I have a piccie of me and Grim at Wembley ...
...this was taken about an hour before the kick off, we got there early to soak up the atmosphere, blimey, can you imagine, 40,000 Luton fans all singing....amazing!!!
Right, enough waffle from me....am off to make a few cards using those new birdy stamps that I designed, available from The Artistic Stamper. *shameful plug* LOL
