Inky Metal Art

Hey Peeps,

I had a lovely day yesterday; Linda came over to play and we got all inky and messy and played with some metal and Alcohol inks and this is what I made.

I ran the metal thru the Cuttlebug, using embossing folders and then sploshed some Kuretake Alcohol inks on to the metal.

I used mountboard to stick the metal to and then applied these to an 8x8 oil board that I had also alochol inked and also done some background stamping.

Thanks for looking :O))

Hels x

I ran across your blog today while looking for altered metal art (I want to do some and I'm looking for more ideas and technique training....). I LOVE the metal piece you have posted, and your entire blog is filled with great stuff!! -- I'll definitely be spending time here! -- I have a a question (if you don't mind) What type of metal did you use for this piece? -- and where did you get it? -- A new fan! Hi there, Slowef, no worries hun, go for it and have fun playing!!! Cindie, the metal is from Ten Seconds Studio's and I bought it from www.lbcrafts.co.uk Have fun and I warn you, once you start playing with the metal, well...it is soooo addictive!!! If you give them a call at LB they are so clever and helpful they will be able to point you in the right direction. Thanks for the lovely comment too...bless you xx
