TMTA - Counting Down

Evening peeps,

Cor, I actually managed to do a challenge!!! It seems like such a long time ago since I managed to get a Blog Challenge completed on the actual day it was set! I even get trouble doing my own LOL

Anyway, over on the TMTA challenge Blog the theme this week is Countdown. I did have an daft idea to make something that involved vowels and consonants but thought twice about that one, it would have been too difficult for a thicko like me as I only ever get a four letter word LOL




So, I stuck to what I know and using Scattered Straw Distress Ink I blended a piece of ATC sized mountboard. I filled my hand up with water and flicked it onto the ATC to get a splotchy effect. I then masked some fab clock stamps which are from the Time plate at The Artistic Stamper. Once masked off, I inked up a script stamp, also from The Artistic Stamper and stamped this over the masked clocks. I edged the ATC with Pine Needles and then Walnut Stain Distress Ink.




I then took a piece of copper metal (from my Christmas pressie - 10 Second Studios) and stamped a clock onto it. I used a pointy tool to deboss into the metal and then a wiggly tool to make a fancy edge to the clock. You can't really see this on the piccie though - I seriously need lessons in metal art and photography :O)) I used a little dewdrop as a centre for the clock, stuck an adhesive gem to the face of it and then used some tiny beaded chain to make a hangy thing for the clock. The greeting was made using StudioG alpha's and then 3D'd onto the ATC. Finally, a little edge of copper Krylon and that was me done.

I hope that it will meet the challenge theme :O)) I added the New Year greeting 'cos that is what they had done and.... the 09 is actually on the clock...as in 9 0'clock ... does that make sense????
