Hello Peeps,
I have had a piece of oil board in my stash for ages now and finally got around to doing something with it the other day. I have called the piece "Wonky Art" because I can never seem to stamp straight and everything ends up wonky = and because there is a little plaque on the back of the Oil Board and I just happened to stamp everything upside down, so you have to turn the piece to one side to read it!
I made this for Jennie to cheer her up....a broken arm is no fun and I thought that the bright colours might brighten her day.
I used Ancient Page inks and a Blending Tool to achieve the background colour and used various sizes of Stampbord, which I scratched and sanded once I have completed the stamping on them.
The main stamps are from The Artistic Stamper - Artists Plate to be precise and the little dots on the background are from The Stamp Bug. The Artists Plate is my absolute fave and you will probably recognise the stamps cos I seem to use them a lot at the moment!!
This piece was a little out of my comfort zone, you know me, dull as ditchwater and I love browns and greens - but I think I got the blend of brights just about right!
Thanks for looking and I would love your comments.
