Dream Upon A Time

Evening Peeps

Well, the old Mojo went AWOL this morning and I was gutted cos I really wanted to craft today. Anyways, a little 40 winks on the sofa this afternoon must have recharged it so I made haste to the Craft Room and had a little play with a gorgeous set of papers that I have from Die Cuts With a View. It is the Once Upon a Time stack and I have some embellie diecuts to go with the papers too.

I started off by using the fabby chipboard tags from The Artistic Stamper. I cut the papers to fit the tags and stuck them with DS tape. I then punched them thru the Bind It All machine and sanded all the edges to achieve a worn out effect. The chipboard tags are so thick that they just ask to be sanded and the papers, being white cored, are lovely distressed too! I used all three sizes of the tag, the larger ones are the covers and a middle page, the medium ones are the other pages and to add a little something extra, the mini tags are added in thru the book.

I then set about stamping, using stamps by Catslife Press and Penny Black. I stamped everything in Black VersaFine and then added lots of the diecuts with brads and some little photo turns that have words on them.

Once I had assembled the book, I then spent what felt like six years, tying ribbons and fibres to the wire.....not my thing, tying things as my fingers are not as nimble as they could be!! :O))

The final thing I did was to add a little bookplate to the front cover. I stamped the word DREAM using little alphabet stamps that came from a $1 in USA so no manufacturer for those but I think that they look nice :O))

A member of my Sisterhood of Blogging Stampers, Tracy, is a demonstrator for Trimcraft and she has some PIF candy on her Blog...so I thought that I would link this creation to her Blog as my entry - I have used DCWV and BIA which are amongst the goodies she demo's.

Thanks for looking

Hels x
