Distressed After A Workout!!

Afternoon!

I saw that my mate Linda had taken part in a new Blog challenge and being as I have to copy everything she does, I have had a go too!

The Challenge is called Saturday WorkOut and can be found here. This weeks challenge is to make something "Distressed". Well, what a perfect excuse to get all inky and messy :O))

I decided to make a tag as I have not made one for a while. I started by using Distress Re-Inkers in Old Paper, Tattered Rose and Dusty Concord. I dabbed dots of ink onto a non stick craft sheet, spritzed first with water and then with Gold Glimmer Mist.

I then patted the blank tag into the inky mixture and dried with a heatgun. I re-patted the tag into the rest of the inks and dried again.

Next, I used Peeled Paint Distress Ink to stamp the tree image and then Versafine in black to stamp the lion, the sentiment and the flourish. All the stamps are by Stampers Anon and in the Tim Holtz collection.



Then, cos I love my lion so much, I added a little Grungeboard crown which I had painted with Adirondack Gold Dabber paint.

I used the Tim Holtz edge distresser to get the shabby look on the tag and ran a black pen around the edges to add a little definition.
