Collage Canvas - Take II & Flutterby

Evening peeps,

I have been crafty again and altered another canvas. It started life as a plain but already primed canvas and I decided to use the same kind of theme I used for the last one.

I cut 12 mountboard squares 1 1/2 " and then cut a 3" square piece too. I got some Crafty Individuals papers and images at Ally Pally and couldn't wait to use them. I started by painting Worn Lipstick and Old Paper Cracklepaint onto parts of the canvas and set this aside to dry. I then painted three of the mountboard squares with the same colours and set those aside too.

Next, I chose some of the papers, oh blimey, they are soooo lush it was hard to choose so I used most of them :O)) I stuck them to the mountboard squares using Glossy Accents as this is a really strong adhesive for paper. I used one of the little Angel images from the 2 1/2" square selection and popped this onto some co-ordinating paper. Then I stuck this to the 3" piece of mountboard and then added some little triangles as "corners" for it.

I decided to use some Crafty Individuals stamps for decorating the little squares and used Black VersaFine ink to stamp them. For some of the butterfly images I stamped them twice and cut out the butterflies and then curled the wings and used silicone glue to "decoupage" them over the original image so they look like they are fluttering.

Using another of the Angel images, I drew around a bottle cap and cut out the part I wanted to use. I popped this into the bottlecap and then filled it with Glossy Accents. I sprinkled a few little gold micro beads into the GA to add a little bit of glitz.

Next, I altered a "Willie"...go on, have a laugh cos I always do when I say that name!! Basically, they are little plastic rubbery critters - this one is a butterfly and I painted it with Duo Glue and added gold and copper flakes to it...I love the way these little bugs can be altered so easily. They come from The Artistic Stamper as does the glue.

I added some little pearls that I took off an old clip on earring, sticking them to the squares with Glossy Accents again. I also added a few micro beads to some of the squares, again using GA!

The T is from the Grungeboard "Mini's" pack and I coloured it with my faithful Krylon pen....and then I edged all the squares with the Krylon too...I find that doing this just finishes each piece nicely. I also used a 7Gypsies wax seal to go onto the same piece as the T....the seal says 100% Certified...now, is that a good description of me I wonder? :O))

Now all the pieces were decorated and ready to be set onto the canvas. I used Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and Cut & Dry foam and coloured the whole canvas with it. I also used gold Krylon to accent the edges, I smudged this onto my finger and then just rubbed over the parts I wanted to colourise.

Finally, using Glossy Accents, I stuck all the pieces of mountboard to the canvas and then I left it overnight to set. When I came to check it this morning the Willie had fallen off!! Don't laugh!! So, I used silicone glue to set it more securely.

I am really pleased with the results...and I love those papers soooo much!

Thanks for looking and I would really appreciate your comments.
