Introducing a brand new challenge I can now tell you all about!
The Artistic Stamper Blog has a brand new monthly challenge that has just launched. There will be a new theme each month and even better.....there is some heavenly Blog Candy up for grabs too!
Here is the link to the Artistic Stamper blog. The rules for the Challenge are the same as most others; make a piece of artwork that features the theme - which this month is Architecture. Then pop over to the Artistic Stamper Blog and leave a comment on the post, adding on a link to the place where your artwork is being displayed. The winner of the Candy will be picked at random at the end of this month.
I have made a couple of pieces for the Challenge and here they are:
The Architects Card
For this card, I used some lovley leather patterned carstock and I distressed it with Peeled Paint and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks. I then made three small pieces of card and used stamps from one of the Architecture Plates from the AS. I used masking and decoupage to lift the images and added gold satin card behind the mats to add a touch of definition. I finally decoupaged the arch image and added a little bit of gold leaf to it.
Lenny The Lizard Goes On Holiday to Rome
I know, you probably all think I am bonkers BUT!!! I altered this little Lizard a couple of weeks ago and couldn't wait to show you it, hence it has been Blogged before. However, I also used some of the new heavenly Chipboard Tags that The AS are now selling. I painted the tags with Gold Pearlescent Paint and then stamped the images from the Architecture Plate using Versafine ink. I distressed the edges of the tags using sandpaper and then added Lenny because I love him and I thought he may like a little trip to olden Rome! :O)) Told you I am bonkers!!
Anyway, pop over to the Artistic Stamper Blog and have a look at the new Challenge and then have loads of fun getting all inky and messy!!
Thanks for looking
