I am feeling a little better thankfully. I have had a lovely lazy day today and have another birthday card to Blog. As before, this is for a friend, so I won't say who it is for :O))
Now, I know she is into Tim Holtz and likes skulls...so this was a really easy choice to make!
I started by taking some lovley pale pink paper and stamping the new Tim Holtz ATC collage stamp with the Skull on it, using black Versafine ink. I used a VersaFine pen and gold embossing powder to edge the image, then matted it onto black cardstock and then matted this onto more pink paper that I had edged the same way. I then attached this to a larger piece of black cardstock, using the VersaFine and gold embossing powder to edge this too.
Next I took a Grungeboard Skull and coloured it pink using Worn Lipstick Distress ink and rubbed a damp babywipe over the skull to blend the colour in. Again, using the VersaFine pen, I gold embossed the skull in places. I used a couple of buttons for eyes, which I coloured using the good old Krylon pen, how I would craft without one of these I really don't know!! I added a crown, which I also changed from silver to gold with the Krylon, as a final touch.
I do hope she likes the card, we will have to wait and see :O))
Thanks for looking, would love your comments too.
