Blimey, I cannot remember a day when I made so many posts on here :O)) Just shows how much fun I have had today.
I have joined in my first Arty Girlz Challenge. This week it is "Pockets" - basically to include a pocket on the design.
I have tried to keep away from too much ink and stamping - not easy I can tell you! I have used Basic Grey "Infuse" papers and Bazzill Cardstock for this card.
I started by cutting into those gorgeous sheets of paper, no mean feat - I have been saving them for ages!! I cover the card front with plain and patterned paper, cut a strip from the Bazzill and then punched out a buckle using my QuicKutz Revolution. I coloured this in with gold Krylon and then stuck it over the join in the papers. I made a pocket from the Bazzill and some more of the Infuse paper, stamping around the edges with a stitch stamp. I then made a little tag to slide into the pocket and stamped the sentiment (Penny Black) and added an eyelet and gold ribbons. The top of the card look a bit boring so I cut out a flower from the patterned paper and stuck it to the top right hand corner. I thought that the pocket didn't look right so I used some more of the Bazzill and stamped "happiness" onto it, cut a v from the edge and then added little gems for decoration.
This challenge really got me thinking as I have not really used papers for my crafting for ages. I also loved the fact that I had to make something unusual to be used on the card.
Thanks for looking, that is all for today...am all crafted out! *til tomorrow that is*
