Pssssst!!! Schneaky Peeky...

....am just popping on to give you a little schneaky peeky of my entry to the brand new Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge which is starting tomorrow.  The new challenge will launch at 00.01am Mountain Time - which for us Brits is 07.01am GMT (good job the girlies helped me out with that one cos I am rubbish with time differences and all that) and all the details on which page of the book were are turning to will be announced then.  

Did I mention I am super excited about the challenge?  Like seriously doing little happy jigs and squealing every so often.  Not only have the Compendium challenges been my fave challenges ever... PS... am just wondering if I should admit this to you.  Ok, being as I am completely stoopid, have the IQ of a backward tadpole (one of me old Dad's sayings that is)  when I was typing about the time the challenge will go live and the time difference meaning us Brits on GMT would see the challenge publish at 07.01am and our American friends would see it publish at 00.01 Mountain Time... erm... guess who started to type "if you want to see the challenge earlier than 07.01am, pop over to see Linda earlier..... "  I know!  I know!!!   Tis high time I got used to the fact that time is different in different countries... one day I will *get it*  Go on, have a laugh ... I am ... doh!!!

Schneaky Peeky!

...cor blimey... and thrice!  Today is the day indeedily!  At 9pm tonight I will be doing my very first Pick of the Day on Ideal World... excited? Moi? You bet!  I am bursting to tell you all about the brand new product from Creative Expressions... not to mention brand spanking new UTEE colours... you all know what a blabbermouth I am so this has been a smidge hard to keep it under my hat!  The show times for the Pick of the Day are detailed over in the sidebar and also ways to watch the shows... and don't forget, if you can't get to a tellybox or you aren't in the UK, you can also watch online too :O))  Here's a sneaky peek at a few of the sample I have made... oooh, what can I see?  Colour? New product?  New stashly bits?  All will be revealed tonight!

I shall away now, I have a nail crisis going on.  Why is it that they sit there, at the end of my fingers, looking all contented and happy... until I have telly shows to do... then they go and misbehave and decide to crack... right across where the quick is!!!  I am going to try and stick the pointy uppy snaggy bit back down and hope it lasts.. otherwise you can call me StumpyFinger Hels lol   Thanks for looking, hope you can join me for some Melt Art fun tonight and tomorrow!  TTFN

Sneaky Peeky Time!

... ooh I am ever so excited!  I have been working on samples for my tellybox shows tomorrow and I know I have been teasing you with little snippets of what I might be up to.  Well, I figured that I would show you a few sneaky peekingtons... but first... info about the shows: I am still waiting on confirmation for the times but as it stands they are 10am, 4pm and 7pm on Create & Craft, Sky Channel 671, Freeview 36, FreeSat 813 ad Virgin 747 tomorrow, 20th September 13.  Anyways, enough of that... here are some piccies!

I am SO excited to have a special paper pack on the shows too... designed by the wonderful Teresa Collins especially for Creative Expressions, this paper pad is LUSH!  As well as those papers, I have some more gorgeousness in paper form, masks, paints and embellies... oh and of course, the "launch" of this fabby new substrate... curious?  All will be revealed tomorrow ;O))

Sneaky Peekingtons....

...tis that time again.. oh yesh, it is showtime!  Today is the day I get to finally show you all what I have been waffling on about for the past week!  The show times on Create & Craft are at 11am and 4pm.  The details on how to watch the shows are over in my sidebar... and don't forget, if you aren't in the UK, you can view online... deets for that also in the sidebar :O)   On with a few sneaky peekingtons for you....

I have had a blast making these samples... I literally sat there and let the ideas flow.  The brand new product that I have been hinting at is a super new addition to the Creative Expressions Cosmic Shimmer family... oh yesh indeedily...  It is... Texture Paste! 

Like I said, the ideas have been flowing and the only thing that has stopped me carrying on making more and more samples is the fact that as I type this, it is nearly 10pm on Sunday and I still have the "Battle of the Fingernail" to attempt!  Also on the shows are some deeelish Studio 490 goodies... as well as the usual Distressy stuff that I usually have on...

I have also been hinting that the Texture Paste can be used for other techniques too... I will be demoing as many as possible during the shows... and then I will also tell you all about it in more detail this week, here on the blog.

Right, I shall away... nails to clean (yikes... they are gross!) and then I needs to see off this zit that has decided to grow on my chin... why oh why do I always go to spottington the day before a telly show?   Thanks for looking... TTFN

Sneaky Peekingtons...

...teehee, tis that time again!  I have got two tellybox shows on Monday and I have been working with a brand new product from Creative Expressions... and oh wow, I love it!  Not only does this product "do what it says on the pot", it also does other cool stuff too.  I will be doing lots of demo's using this fabby stuff but I thought I would show you just a couple of sneaky peeks of a couple of the samples I have made... oh and deets of the shows are over in my sidebar.  I have had a few lovely comments from peeps not in the UK saying they wish they could see the shows... well, you can!  Oh yesh, if you go to the Create & Craft website, click "watch us live" it should stream the show for you... obviously, the time difference will factor in, like if it is stooopid o'clock where you are you aren't going to be able to see it on account of you being in sleepingtons!   Anyways... here we go!

Remember... one product to do lots of different things... I love IT!!!!   This next one sees the same product used slightly differently again... I can't wait to show you it!  Seriously, I am having a fit of the vapours here, keeping schtum... well, all will be revealed tomorrow... *snort*

P.S....  June already!!!  And that now means that I can officially start celebrating my birthday cos it is this month!  I love having a birthday... tis a brilliant excuse to eat cake!! *not that I need much excuse lol* I promise not to bore you all to tears with talk of my birthday... much... teeheeee.

Sneaky Peekingtons....

...cor blimey, I have been having the best fun, playing ahem, working, in the Room of Stash, with my Melt Pot and all the lush goodies I have on the Four Day Deal next week.  After being a bit of a meany yesterday and not showing you any of the samples I have made, I figured today I would be show you :O)  Only a little piccie so I don't give too much away but, nay and thrice... is that an Art Part I see before me?  Aha, yesh!  Not saying anything else ;O)

Much excitement and merriment in the kitchen last night.  Well, you see, cooking isn't my...erm... best attribute.  In fact, I would go as far to say that I have a few tried and tested recipes that I have invented myself and I tend to stick to them.  I can't follow a recipe and I do tend to bung stuff into a pan and hope for the best.  One of the tried and tested recipes is my lasagne.  It is one of those dishes that I quite enjoy making, you know, making the sauce, layering up the sauce with the cheese and the pasta and stuff.  Yes, with the pasta.  Which is where it went a little bit wrong.  I went shopping the other day to get the ingredients for said lasagne. And forgot the tomatoes.  And the pasta.  And didn't realise. Ahem.  Quite.  So there I am, halfway through making the sauce and went to the cupboard to get the squished tomatoes *they have a proper name but it evades me at this moment when I need it most lol* I usually use and they weren't there.  Oooops.  So, being as I had already added most of the ingredients, I improvised.  I did have two tins of plum tomatoes.  So I decided that I would squish them myself, I mean, how hard can it be?  Cue me looking like I had murdered someone, the kitchen descending into tomato hell and the sieve taking a bashing.  I thought that I could squish said tomatoes through the sieve.  Wrong. The pips were irksome. *and they are a nightmare to get out of ones hair*  So I decided to squish them in my hands instead. Did you know that if you squeeze a plum tomato it squirts its juice for miles, literally covers cupboards, floors and a stupid woman in juice.  Anyways, long story short. I did the whole squishing of  the tomatoes and put the sauce on to cook for a few hours.  Then it was time to make the lasagne up. So I went to the cupboard to get the pasta and erm... yep, it wasn't there.  Because I forgot it.  There were, instead, 5 sheets left over from the previous one I made.  So I decided to just go with it and snapped them into pieces and just kind of chucked them into the dish.  When it was cooked it looked as lovely as ever... but I knew it would not taste as good being as it was a bit light on pasta.  But believe this or not, Grim said "I think this is your best one yet!" And he went back for seconds, so I know he wasn't just being polite (so did I but I am not going to tell you that cos then you will think I am a pig lol) Blimey!  How about that then!!!   And on that bombshell I shall love you and leave you... more samples to make!  Thanks for looking, have a goodly day!  TTFN

Sneaky Peekingtons...

...oh dear, yes, the obsession with adding "ington" to the end of every available word is still roaring strongly... so today we have a "peekington" at some of the samples I have put together for the tellybox shows on Thursday.  Deets of the channels/times etc are over in the sidebar *points left*   I have some lushly goodies on the shows and this little piccie shows just a few ;o))

So! What is your weather like huh?  I know, time honoured British tradition of waffling about the weather but... oh my word!  Yesterday was the weirdest day ever.  So, I am sitting at my desk, which is right next to the window, and I have to put my daylight lamp on because it went as black as your hat outside... next thing, it was blizzardingtons and I couldn't see the Co-op on the hill, which is usually a good indicator of weather: if it is foggy, I can't see the Co-op: If it is fair, I can see it... that kind of thing .... *hey, I am sharing a smidgen of what is inside my head here, can you imagine what it is like to actually have to live in it? ROFL*  Anyways... one minute bright sunny blue skies... next minute blizzardingtons and as black as your hat again.  Like I said... weird!  I know it is still Winter but, please, Mother Nature, cast aside your vest and bring us some warm weather!  Right, I shall away, I am back to the desk (of mess, oh you should see it, I don't do *tidy*) and more samples to be made.... have a fabby day folks... Today's The Day!

...cor blimey and thrice! I can't believe that today is actually THE day! Oh yesh, today is the day of the Tim Holtz Crafting launch shows on Ideal World & Create and Craft.  Excited? Yep! Samples made? Yep! Demo's prepped? Erm... nearly *I have a good excuse, I got carried away playing making samples!* Nails rescued? Not a chance! *they will be by 10pm tonight tho... thank heavens for the invention of the Craft Scrubbie - those magicians at Ranger really are... erm... magicians cos that little piece of kit is an inky gals best pal!*  Fit of the vapours?  Oh yesh, deffo had a couple of those in the last few weeks!  Sneak Peeks?  Oh yesh indeedily... three actually... here goes:

I have had a few questions over the last few days: "Will Tim be on the telly too?"  Sorry folks, Tim isn't going to be on the shows, I know, can you imagine how FAB that would be!!! I would probs not be able to concentrate so it is probably for the best lol   
"Can you do a blending demo?"  YES, I will do a Distress Ink demo and show you how to blend the inks.    
"Have you got the new Frosted Film on the show?"   Oooh, well that would be telling... *winkwink*   "Can you tell my husband/kids/animals not to interupt the programmes?"  Consider it done!  Hey! Husbands, kids, animals, leave Mummy alone while she spends, I mean watches the telly

Ssshhhhneaking Peekings....

...did you see what I did there?  Tis not good, I made meself laugh!  Well, anyway... today I have another sneaky peek at some of the samples I have made for the big shows on Tuesday and Wednesday (if you missed yesterday's post, click HERE for the big news!!!!)   Do you see lots of our fave products from the Duke of Distress?  I have to say.. I am having a total ball playing working with all the goodies. 

You should see the state of the Room of Stash though... oh my word, I think I will be spending all day on Thursday tidying up... I just cannot seem to be tidy when I am making samples.. bits of card, punchy-outy bits from diecuts, snippets of ribbon... and that is just the floor!

Right, I shall away... I am scheduling this post because I am actually sound asleep, wrapped up, cocoon like, in my duvet (I love my duvet, it is all feathery and moulds about me to keep me snuggly)  because I am up with the lark to set off for my class and demo weekend at Birds In The Barn... Sneakily Peepings.... Take II

... teeheeeheee... tis time for another sneaky peepings at some more samples for todays shows.  Blimey! Today! Yikes!  I am scheduling this post because I need to be up early to set off to the studio's... hopefully this new Bloggy interface jobby-wotsit will work.  Anyways... a quicky reminder... I am on at 11am and 7pm (a loooong time between shows but I have got a box full of goodies to be playing with to keep me occupied)  The channel is Sky 671, Freeview 36 and FreeSat 813.  If you haven't got any of those or are from somewhere else in the world you can view the shows live HERE .... just click "watch us live" and it will ask for which channel, click Create & Craft and it should work :O)

Yesterday I alluded to some of the goodies that I have on the shows... lots of brand spanking new products that have just arrived in the UK hot from CHA in July, including new Studio 490 Stamps, Art Parts, Stencils for Art... oohlalala, I loves those Stencils!  Did you cop sight of the new Stampers Anonymous Classics stamps?  I have been having a ball playing with those... my only regret is that I didn't get a chance to make some mini books with them... they are perfect for that kind of thing....

And... to add a little something to the mix, some Spellbinders too... a lovely bundle and I have to admit that I am totes-addicted to the Lattice. When I first saw it I thought "uh-oh, gonna need my pokey tool"  Nope, it is a fab die, really easy to use and the thingy's just pop right out so no need for faffing.  I did use Baking Parchment (fab tip from Sue Wilson) for them just to make it easier.  The ickle Butterflies are just sooo sweet... again easy to use too.   Anyways, enough of my wafflings, time to get my inky paws clean, my nails scrubbed and coated with some clear varnish (covers up a multitude of sins) and then beddy-byes...  Thanks for looking... have a brill day.... Little Shop of Curiosities...

...oooh, I have been very lucky because I have been playing with those totes-gorgeous Graphic 45 papers, the Old Curiosity Shoppe, which are the focus on for July's Snazzy DT. Below is a sneaky peek at my main project = all the deets can be found HERE - what I used, more pics etc. Also, don't forget that there's the monthly comp where you could score yourself a set of the papers and stamps too! HERE are those deets.



Now then, mahoooosive thank you's to everyone who left a birthday message for Grim - he was well chuffed to read them all (yes, he needed his specs lol) We had a lovely time on the Broads... except poor old Grim has been struck down with some kind of gastric flu. It started last Weds evening and slowly he got worse and worse bless him. He was determined to go ahead with our weekend plans though - and he was so bad that he couldn't even stomach his birthday cake! And no, it wasn't home made lol


Anyways, here's the boat we had: I took several months off my lifespan blowing up all those balloons, oh yesh, all ten of them... blown up by me! I tied them to the back of the boat and none popped, although a few did deflate (reckon I hadn't tied the knots tight enough)




And... we had a beautiful morning on Saturday - gloriously sunny so I matured my freckle moustache a wee bit more... and then about lunchtime the skies clouded over and we had the mother of all storms.



I embraced my inner witch (I am sure I am one you know, I get so excitable when it is stormy!) I took a couple of pics of the storm in the distance... about ten mins before it got to us. Thankfully the boat had windscreen wipers so I could see where I was going... just about, if I stretched and craned my neck - one of the drawbacks of being a shorty.


Right, I shall loves ya and leaves ya... that to do list has suddenly grown over the weekend again... starting with several tonnage of ironing... I may be some time! Thanks for looking... TTFN

Corrrr....

...so, instead of starting the post with a Corrrr, I thought I may as well go the whole hog and use it in the title. Mainly because I can't think of a better one and also because I have been looking back over my blog posts of late and a very lot of them start off with a corrrr... I am going to have to come up with a new word lol




Anyways... waffling aside... corrrr is because I have made the samples, prepped the demo's and packed the tote trolley all ready and set for the morning... which if you are reading about 7.30am will mean it is actually all ready for ... now! I have to be there 2 hours before showtime and I just know that it is going to be all cold and frosty so I am leaving pleeenty of time to get there.



The show times are 11am - and I saw on the website that Leonie is the presenter... now, I met for all of 3 seconds last time and I am soooo happy to be able to meet her properly... thinking about it, it is actually her fault that I moved away from making cards and into ATC's and other stuff when she had her ATC club... how addictive were those when we first started... and that must have been in ... erm... 2006! Blimey... nearly 6 years ago!!!



Anyways, I went off at a tangent... I was saying about show times... so... 11am and... 4pm.. when I am with Dave again... I promise not to break anything and try and blame him lol The channel can be found on Sky 671, Freeview 36 and Freesat 813 or, if you haven't got those you can watch live on www.createandcraft.tv (handy link for you :O))


I have got lots of lovely Studio 490 goodies as well as Distress and Cosmics and Idea-ology and some Spellbinders on the show..lots of loverliness!!! I had better stop with the waffle and get myself off to bed... mind you, I am wider awake than an insomniac badger... tis the excitement! I started with a sniffle yesterday and I have a smidge of a sore throat... I am just hoping that a) I don't sneeze on air and b) I am not croaking like Kermit lol Right... better go... WOYWW... Art Parts & Sneak Peeks...

Cor blimey and thrice alive!!! Tis already February. I was talking to the lady in the Post Office earlier (tis still Tuesday when I am writing this) and she said to me that someone must have a massive big fast forward button... I have to agree... already a 12th of the year gone! Blinking blimey! Anyways... today is Wednesday which indeed means it is time for the crafty bloggers of the world to meet up at Julia's place and set off on the marathon that is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday... This week my desk, indeed my Room of Stash, are still in pretty neat condition... (garnished, of course, obligatory choccy bar to keep my strength up... ahem... Fruit & Nut *says it all really* ) Ok it is a smidgey little bit messy but that is because I am full steam ahead with the samples for tomorrow's shows. I have got the cards/tags done and am playing with Art Parts now. I have been having fun with Clearly For Art too... for all you arachnaphobes, look away now...
