What To Do....

....mmmmm, you know when you get one of those quandries... want to make sure that everyone is happy but have not a clue how to do it?  Well, the other day I remarked that I am cheesed off with getting 271 nasty spam comments on my blog each day.  That is a bit of an exageration... I have been getting about 25+ each day and it is driving me nuuuuts because there are lovely blog followers out there who haven't got a Google account so need to have the Anon option to leave me some lurve.

Lurve the new Metallic Stains!

However. If I put the Anon option back on, I get spam again... which is what I tried last night - I have had 13 comments advising me that I can grow my willy big, telling me I can buy viagra or other medications online and I can even get some Laboutin shoes at a discounted price.  Anon spam comments make me CRABBY!  Very crabby at that too!   So. The only thing I can suggest is that if you are previously an Anon commenter, firstly, thank you got contuing to leave me lurves (you know who you are) and secondly, if you get yourself a Google account, you can leave me lurves and not have to have a blog - just a  Google account.  Hope that helps!  HERE is a linky to go straight to the "get Google account page"....

Mixing Pewter Stains with Broken China Stains

Moving on... there's only so much moaning I can put up with from myself of a Monday mornin'...  I have recovered from my lovely weekend in Preston - thank you to all the great ladies who joined me on Saturday to get inky and messy, it was lovely to see you all!  I spent yesterday stuck to the sofa... trying to calm this old back down but it is having none of it... so I fully intend to ignore it today and get my room straight (you wouldn't believe the chaos in here just from going away for a weekend!)  And... ssshhh, I just happen to have a couple of the new Tim Holtz Alterations dies to play with.. oh yesh, the Snowflakes and the Tattered Poinsettia... oooohlalalaaaaa, they are lush... Christmas here I come!   Thanks for looking... have a good day everyone.... TTFN!

I am having a bit of a nightmare with these comments too. I had thought I would have to swith to comment moderation but your option sounds good thanks for the tip. Blogger was scooping most of these comments into spam but they still hit my email. Vee xx

Ah! It's not just me then... mmm... I tried a couple of tricks but they started up again yesterday! I think I'll have to turn Anon off too because I really, really, really hate those 'I'm not a robot and I can prove it' comment verification doodahs... off to look at settings... x

Hi Hels, sorry to hear you are still being troubled by unwelcome comments. When it happened to me I installed Malwarebytes Anit-Malware, it is a free download and it cleaned up my whole system and I have not been troubled since - fingers crossed.

Your tag is beautiful, I have not used that birdcage die for ages, don't know why, because it is fab, love the distressing with the new metallics too. I so want those new dies........Crafty hugs, Anne x

I find it difficult to understand the why of this spam rubbish mind you I was VERy impressed one day when I was offered 4 penis enlargements and I also won 500.000 pound in the British lottery! Tonight Mr Barclay from Barclays Bank n the UK tells me that my account??? has been frozen until I supply him with my finacial details.
Poor Mr Barclay. I'm checking out the antimalware - thanks Redanne. In the meantime Hels keep amking your beautiful art!

Being pretty thick about all things computer like, yours and all these comments going over my head. My lovely daughter opened a Google account for me and I actually have mine and Gracies photo appearing. Technology is a wonderful thing.

Love the tag-the bird cage really looks like metal.

I get them in my email every day, between 5 and 10. I can't tell you how many enlargements I have been offered, how many times I could claim for my recent injuries of which I have none and the if you send us this we will pay you blah blah blah! Thankfully they go into my spam folder which i check every day and delete every day. It's sad but if we want this wonderful blog land of creation it is one of the unfortunate side effects! Enough whining from me lol!
Lovely tag, wonderful colours here, and I so love the bird cage die! Me thinks am going to get mine out and play some this week! hugs Karen
