Sunday Stamper - Week 247 - Oh You Pretty Things

Gooodly Morning Stampers and a very happy Sunday to you all.  Big thanks for all the fabby entries for last weeks challenge.  This week the theme is... SOMETHING PRETTY.  To join in is simples: make a little something, it can be anything you fancy.  Add in the theme and some stamping and then pop back here with a link to the place you are showing your entry.  If you haven't got a blog or web-hosty thingy, you can join in via email or on Facebook.  The theme will remain open until 21:00 Saturday 9th March 2013.

Hurrah and thrice, I have my entry to show you!  I spent a lovely day yesterday demo-ing with Paper Artsy Fresco Finish paints and some gorgeous new JOFY and Lin Brown stamps.  This piece was my first demo using the JOFY stamps... I loves them, I neeeeeds them all too :O))   The base is a canvas board that has a frame with it.  I started by using the scraped paint technique to put Guacamole, Mermaid, Hey Pesto and Ocean colour paints onto the canvas and then added a smidge of black over the top to finish the design.

Next I used a Studio 490 Stencil for Art and applied Dreamweaver Embossing Paste to the bottom part of the canvas, making little scoopy bits on the texture paste to add some detail.  When this was dry, I added smidges of Treasure Gold to the stencilled bits and then added some stamped images ... I stamped them onto cosmetic tissue (plain old Kleenex works a treat) and used Ranger's Glue & Seal to stick them on.  Once this was dry I slapped a load of Rock Candy Cracklepaint over the top.  Once the crackles were set, I added some spritzing in the form of Black Marble Dylusions spray so this sat in the crackly bits... and smidged more Treasure Gold over the top.  The die cut word was painted black and I used Glossy Accents to highlight it and added some extra pops of colour by colouring book page with the same colour paints, stamping the images and then cutting them out and laying them over the tissue images.  Finishing touches were some little butterflies I cut out and added pearls to for their bodies.

Apologies again for the late posting of the pics... hope it was worth the wait :O)   I am off to unpack all my class stash now and then get my act together for my demo day on Wednesday at Inspirations in Preston.  Busy week for me :O))   Thanks for looking... have a great day!  TTFN

Hels x

Somehow you give me inspiration most of your post: isn't about colours, than it is by what you use for a technique... Anyway, here is my entry for the Sunday Stampers (only just in time) made with a stampset I bought from someone who wanted to buy something else: http://gerrinascreatievewereld.blogspot.nl/2013/03/peacock-lady.html
I was looking for these set for a long time, so not only pretty, but also happy!
