WOYWW... With a Little Cutie...

...another week has happily whizzed past so that means today is Wednesday, which can only mean one thing... time for WOYWW... if you click on Julia's name you can be transported to see what all the kerfuffle is about... I am sorry that I didn't get chance to get around to everyone last week... thing is, my stooopid internet is soooo slow...we have gone from 20mb cable to 2mb ADSL which is slower than the old dial up...truly, it feels like it! Anyways, I will do me best to see as many desks as possible this week...

So what is the "cutie"? Well, check out the little shelf in the corner, yep, that one, just above the Distress Inks... can you see it??? There, there it is... a teensy little metal birdy hanging with a flower attached to his .. erm... legs :O)) There is another one just a little bit along from his brother, he has a leaf attached to his nether regions... aren't they just sooooo cute??? The are from a rather super shop I found the other day... called The Number One Gift Shop...and if you love Gisela Graham, you will lurve this shop! Here they are close up...

The other photo is of my basket of made stuff... tags etc, the basket was a cheapy buy from... erm... I can't remember but it was deffo cheap, and I did have big plans to use it for ink pads but they fall out of the gaps LOL

That's all for today... I am treading water at the moment, waiting for the Dr's to open so I can phone and see if they have my prescription ready... keep your finger's x'd for me please cos otherwise I will be a right moany old bat *whatcha mean I am already!* Have a goodly day and see you in Blogland :O)) TTFN

Phew...What a Scorcher...

... Yes, I admit, I moan and whinge when it is cold and wet...but today it has been just tooooo hot to do anything at all... all day! Plus, I have run out of meds and have to wait for the new GP to sort out my files etc before getting some so today has been "one of those days" and tomorrow, fingers x'd I will have a new prescription!

Anyways...following on from yesterday's post about being an alcohol-inkaholic... here is the card I made using the square of card made using the Monoprint Technique from the Compendium of Curiosities. Tis a pals anniversary tomorrow so I used the piece, cut it up, stamped an Agapanthus image using Archival Ink, added a sentiment and then made a butterfly using the very first stamp I ever bought.

Yesterday was fab - thank you everyone for your anniversary wishes for me and Grim... the picnic was lovely... apart from Grim being attacked by horse flies - he is covered in bites - oh and the fact that he went topless and now resembles a partially cooked lobster (I shouldn't but...ROFLMAO) I caught the sun a bit too... I now have a very defined freckle moustache, very attractive LOL .... Thanks for looking... am off to bed now - Grim is on earlies this week and hopefully I have a visitor coming tomorrow and need to get my beauty sleep 'cos... blimey she can talk the hindleg off a Hels (another I shouldn't... but ROFLMAO) Oh, and we had AlfieCat to his new V E T *whispers cos he is sitting next to me* and she said he was "handsome" "very big" and ... he is a "healthy boy". He has a touch of gingivitis again so we have some biotics for him - and he has had his booster too... wish me luck, am just off to give him his first pill... he usually just sits there and opens his mouth but he has been showing signs of mardiness today... probably cos he hates the box and hates the car even more ... bless him... TTFN... see ya tomorrow for the WOYWW...cannot wait cos I have just got the sweetest little thingy ever...can't wait to show ya!

Alcoholic Curiosities...

... no, not me, I never touch a drop... unless of course, it is the fab Alcohol Ink from Ranger, which, I have to say, are one of my favest things in my stash... today is Monday, which means... a new theme for the Compendium of Curiosities from Linda... click her name to see all the deets... but it is a fabby thing to do - this week she has chosen Page ... well, I will let you have a look to see how to and what to do :O))

I made a tag - I know, I know, another one.. but.. this challenge is gonna run for 35 weeks so I am planning to do all of them as tags then do .. erm... something with them LOL I followed the instructions on Page...*aha, you don't catch me out that easy* and then added some stamping with Tim Holtz Collection mini's... using Archival ink and drying with a heat gun. All the stashy bits used are available from The Artistic Stamper.

I also did a piece of glossy card which will be turned into a card later today... I used the same colours but look how different each piece is... just shows what you can make and so easily too :O)

I better get a wriggle on... tis our Wedding Anniversary today... 8 years married already... Gawd knows where the time whizzes off to... we are going to have a picnic by the river again I think...tis gorgeous weather today again :O)) Thanks for looking...have a goodly day ... TTFN

Sunday Stamper - Week 109 - Pearl's A Singer...

...Morning Stampers... many thanks for all your lovely entries for last weeks challenge...and it was also fab to see a few new faces too :O)) This week the theme is PEARLS. As usual with the Sunday Stamper, all you need to do to join in is use some stamping and the theme of the week on your piece of art... once you have blogged it, pop back here and leave me a comment with a link to the place you are showing your art and then I can hop on over to see you. The challenge will stay open til 21:00 Saturday July 3rd (July already!!!)

I was a bit stuck for inspiration when I sat down to make my entry, think my Mojo has melted in all this heat LOL So, as usual, when stuck for inspiration, I turn to my favest stamps - Studio 490 by Wendy Vecchi. **see the frame is on music score...well, how clever is me??? The songsheet is actually the score to Sing Little Birdie...by Pearl Carr & Teddy Johnson - a Eurovision entry from 1959! So, I incorporated even more pearls in mine :O))**

I made a shadow box using a collage of card, coloured with Distress Inks and then stamped with Studio 490 stamps. The frame - well, as usual, it was coloured with Traditional Tan paint, I added Old Paper Cracklepaint in patches, once it was dry, which was about 5 mins in this sauna that is my Room of Stash... I spread Walnut Stain DI over it all with a blending tool. I then used a heat gun and spritzed Glimmer Mists all over it to make a patchy, aged look. Finally, I used some golden wax and rubbed this into the crackles. My pearls are in the centre of the flowers and also surrounding the gorgeous stamp of the eyes... I love that stamp... oh and all of Wendy's stamps are available from The Stamp Attic.

The Idea-ology bracket is one of my favest things about this piece... I coloured with Trad Tan paint again, sanded it and then spritzed with GM's again... heating as I sprayed to get the blotchy look... I love it! I added some Grungepaper flowers and a few other bits and bobs of Idea-ology to decorate it a bit :O))

Thanks for looking... I am off to lounge about on the sofa this afternoon and take control of the TV remote and probably watch a re-run of Poldark or something.... mmmwwwahahahahaha... as if that is gonna happen... I can't help myself and I apologise in advance to anyone who don't like the footy and to my lovely German friends... but... COME ON ENGLAND!!!! I predict... a 1-1 draw, extra time 2-2, then penalties..England winning 8-7 ... whatcha reckon??? Wishful thinking???LOL Enjoy your day whatever you are doing! TTFN

Put It Out...

....I have... totally and utterly and completely unwittingly... put my flipping back out... again :O(( Goodness knows why today it seems to be worse than ever but just sitting typing is hurting so I will make this one a short post *whatcha mean hurrah!! ROFL* Actually, it is probably all the ROFL yesterday that has made it so bad today... I finally got a diagnosis too... apparently the Facet Joints are compressed and pinching nerves, inflaming muscles and giving me the spasms... so I now am waiting for injections into them... mmm, can't wait for that... not!!

Anyways... today is Helen's very special day, she is 21 *again* and I made a card for her using inkyness and Tim stuff and whatnot's... and then posted it with the very vain hope that she will receive it before I blog! If you haven't received it Helen and are reading this...*ZAP* .. there, totally erased from your memory so it will be a surprise when it gets to you LOL

Right, I am off to moan and whinge and basically be a pain in the bum for the rest of the afternoon... and then once Grim has gone to work, I will stop moaning and make the Sunday Stamper for tomorrow LOL ... til then... TTFN!

How Much Wood Can a Woodchuck Chuck???

...LOTS!!!!!!!!!!
In one day!!!!!!! Those guys, flipping flip, they worked like Trojans and I have some piccies of the before, during and after in the back garden... wow, we have sunlight in the garden in the afternoon!! I have noticed a few comments from you ladies about the.. erm... physique of said guys doing the work... enough of that please, they are all young enough to be my sons ROFLMAO *and Grim reads my blog too ROFLMAO even more!!!*

LHS - Before

LHS - During

LHS - After - Logs going tomorrow

Honestly, you wouldn't believe how excited I am that I have a massive garden now... I thought it was a postage stamp but now the trees are cleared it is... amazing. I have to admit to pangs of guilt - all those lovely birdies that have been making homes in the trees are now going to have to tuck cardboard under their wings and go and sleep in doorways... but... there is a huge Spinney at the back of the house and I am sure they will find another place sometime soon... *I will not miss the poop that they ever so kindly left all over the chairs, table, decking, gravel, windows (which, you can see traces of in some of the pics, cos I took them from my room of stash window LOL)*

RHS - Before

RHS - After

**Blimey, we have a HUGE job now - but... a blank canvas :O))**

Poor old Grim had to go to work this afternoon...and won't be back til midnight so he won't be able to see the transformation til the morning. I know, this is a crafty blog but I just wanted to show off .., I mean show you what has been occuring in the garden! I blame that Julia, encouraging me to show off my room of stash, it has led me astray and I now may have to include photo's of my laundry room (I am very posh I shall have you know LMAO) and perhaps the downstairs water closet... ooooh hhhoooo, I am making myself laugh here.. that is always a baaaad sign, it means that you may have already clicked off and I am sitting here chattering away to myself again... The guys are back again in the morning to sort out the front garden and grind all the stumps in the back... AlfieCat is so not impressed... his lair has gone and he has not got any birdy nests to leap at... actually, he is a bit off colour today :O(( ...think he may have a touch of rat-itis... am off to give him a big cuddle now... thanks for reading if you got to the end.. if not, you ain't missed much LOL TTFN

Feeling Funky & Fisky...

... I know, hangs me head in shame at these sad attempts at coolio titles...actually, I am feeling Funky today ... cos it is my second outing into the Bubbly Funk blog... which you can find HERE... along with deets on how I made this...

Isn't it just the cooooolest little frame? It is from Tando Creative - who, I have to say, are just about quenching my lurve of all things grey and chippyboardy :O)) As well as feeling Funky, I am also feeling Fisky... actually, it is my second foray onto the Fiskarettes DT today too... so I got a bit free-handy with a Shape Cutter... I am totally astounded that I managed to play with this little tool... it scared me a bit when I first saw it but now I can see the possibilities are endless...to see the piece in full...click HERE :O))

Today is the start of the tree work in the garden...we have 3 HUGE conifers that are being taken down and removed... along with an old apple, elder and spindleberry tree... and then they will start on the front and get rid of the ivy, the old cherry trees that are making the drive a mare with their roots... and finally they will clear the side... a lot of work... and you know what I am like, easily distracted... I will probably spend the day looking out of the window at what the guys are doing... I will get some pics if they let me... it will be good to finally have some daylight in the garden too! And don't worry, AlfieCat will be safely inside... I had to laugh at Whyducks comment yesterday... she said that AlfieCat could drag the guys in through the catflap and the fat ones would get left outside... in principle it is a grand idea...'cept we ain't got a catflap LOL Have a goodly day everyone... Splooshiness Studio 490 Stylee...

... The more observant of you (and no, that doesn't mean you Jennie ROFLMAO) will have spotted a few tags ready to be stamped onto on my desk yesterday. I got out my favest stamps in the whole widest world ever... yes, it was time to play Studio 490 stylee :O)) I do try to limit myself to only using them once a day but today I got totally carried away and made some more stuff using them too... which will be seen on a blog near you very soonly :O))

The background was created by using a dry brush and streaking some Trad Tan paint onto it to make a resist for the inks. Then I swooshed some Distress Ink pads onto my craft sheet, spritzed with water and then swooshed the tag into the inkyness... drying inbetween swooshings ensures that you can get a really fab coloured background. I then used a babywipe to remove the ink that was sitting on the paint... stamped a 490 background stamp, again removing the DI from the paint... and then set about making a flower. I had some Cogs cut out of Grungepaper - using the new Alterations Die - and incorporated one of them into the flower... then made a centre for the flower using Idea-ology. I added on some ribbon and a cutesy little metal tassle that was in a goody bag that Annette very kindly sent to me... Finally, I added the sentiment... I mean what a fab sentiment it is... how can I not be inspired by the incredibly talented Wendy Vecchi???

Yesterday was "one of those days"... the guys who are supposed to be sorting out all the trees in the garden didn't turn up... but cos we thought they were coming first thing, we kept AlfieCat in - did I mention the little monkey lost his collar the other day??? Well, he now has a new one...with a swizzy new blue tag on it... so, after finding out the guys wouldn't be there til today, we let AlfieCat out to play... big mistake... huge mistake... because... he is up to his new predetory antics and arrived in the dining room with a mouse in his chops. Stooopid oopid here managed to grab him and he dropped Mickey, who scuttled off under the furniture... and we had to take a bookcase down in an attempt to find it - but didn't!!! By this time, AlfieCat had got bored and gone off again, probably to get another mousey... when he finally tipped up at tea-time he found the mouse that was still in the house... and yep, poor Mickey is no more! Thing is, I can't tell Alf off 'cos since he was a kitten he has been chasing toy mices and I guess it is what cats do... anyways... he is staying in tomorrow... I don't want him dragging in one of the tree guys by the scruff of the neck now do I??? Imagine trying to get one of them out from behind the bookcase LMAO! Thanks for looking.. have a goodly day...

WOYWW... With Knobs On...

...I can guess that you are probably thinking "oh no, here she goes again with her dirty mind and smutty innuendo's"... but you would be wrong cos I actually have TWO KNOBS *snorts in a reaaaaallly childish wayt* on my desk today ROFL Check 'em out...ain't they gorgeous! I bought them a couple of weeks ago in my favest shop in the whole widest world... called Esho Funi and it is in Whitby, tis where the hares come from too...beware before clicking on the link though... if you like the kinda stuff I like, you will LOOOOOOVE this shop... honestly, I could spend thousands in there (if I had thousands, that is LOL) and still go back for more... what I didn't tell you last week is... well, the hares that I collected are now complete... and the sculptor also does other animals... including Meerkats...simples!!! *sorry, couldn't help myself with that reference to the advert again... anyone who isn't from the UK probably thinks I am stark staring bonkers... what do you mean, you are from the UK and you think that anyway!!!*

Moving swiftly on... as you do when you begin to realise that half the people you are talking to have clicked and hopped off to another blog LMAO... also on my desk today - which you will notice is VERY tidy... I am being a very goodly girl and have kept it tidy all the time... actually, I am lying again, it was a pigsty yesterday morning so I got grumpy and tidied it all up... but I did get chance to sit meself down and faff with some tags... making inky splooshinesses on the craft sheet and then swooshing thru the splooshinesses to make lovely backgrounds...one of the tags has some Trad Tan paint used as a resist on it... can't possibly blog without mentioning my Trad Tan LOL

I really do have to say that in all my haste to get the room tidy, I forgot to tip out the dirty water in my brush pot (kindly donated by Linda about 100 years ago and still going strong :O)) I didn't want you thinking that I drank from a Tommee Tippee or anything...am not that old yet LOL

I have another piccie here of the view from the door of the room so you can see Grim's handywork with the shelves...gotta love my Grim for putting up *with me?* all those shelves for me... do you like the pub Grim bought me for my 40th??? And, do you like the reflection it is making on the shelf, which can only mean one thing... that shelf ain't dusty... aha, I will soon put paid to that, worry not!

As well as all my inane wafflings about shelves, clocks, knobs *snorts again* and tags... I also wanted to mention that it is a new challenge day for the Gingersnap Creations... and today the new theme is Shades of Blue. Well, what better way to make something blue than to make a Father's Day Card for my Aged P... bless him, he is too many miles away from me but fingers x'd he will be a-visiting soonly... I used Distress Inks for the backgroundy bits... added on some stamping ... from the Mr Holtz collection of course and then added some Idea-ology Washers and Mini Brads in the corners.

Well, I reckon that if you got this far you deserve a huge biscuit of the chocolate variety and a cup of coffee... to pep you up before you hop on to the next person on the ever growing, I was gonna say list but I think it is more of a community now, that is the WOYWW crew... head on over to the blog owned by (the now inky fingered - tee hee) Julia, who is our highly respected and totally worshipped leader... and... as well as all of that... have a Fabbylicious day... *do you think I sound a bit mad at the moment??? Well, I have a secret to divulge... it is nearly 1am... I have been up for like 57 hours, (ok, a bit of an exaggeration but)...still... I am pooped but I am waiting for Grim to come home from work...tis his first day back after a long absence, won't go into details about what happened all I will say is... Grim, if you are reading this, I am so proud of you babes...* Right, am offski, hopefully this Bloggy Scheduley thingy will work and when this is published I will be in the Land of Nod...and then I will be refreshed to pop around the world and see all your workdesks later! TTFN

PS.... still with me??? Read Julia's comment on her post for last week WOYWW... she says... "keep the written word brief" Whooopsies!!! Think I may have written a few too many today ROFL

Curious About Fragments...

...Week 2 of Linda's fab challenge to use the Compendium of Curiosities techniques to make some art and this week is to use Fragments... so, never being one for missing the opportunity to make a tag... and to get inky and messy... and to play with paper... and to get Glossy Accents ALL over my nails, I joined in.. and this is what I made:

I used the basic manilla tag that Tim uses - the actual ones he uses indeedily... the surface is super smooth and when you add water it doesn't do that horrid bobbly thing that some cardstock does. I made a bit of a collage from paper from the Vintage Shabby stack, some music score and an old book page - you know, the funny thing is, the book I have butchered was on my shelf for about 6 years, unread, untouched and very rarely dusted...when we moved, I took it apart and saved pages for artmaking... and now, I find myself reading the page before I use it to add to my artwork ROFL... I can see exactly what I am going to do.. I will go and buy another copy LMAO

I used Distress Inks to colour the tag and the papers, added some square, round and oval Fragments over images from the Lost & Found stack... all the deets on how to do this are on Page 62 of the C of C book BTW... then I added Tissue Tape and some stamping and finished with some Jute and Idea-ology. All the stashy bits used on the tag are available from The Stamp Attic. Thanks for looking... oh, and if you fancy joining in with the challenge, hop on over to Linda's Studio L3 Blog... there are lots of peeps playing and ...rumour has it there is some candy up for grabs for one lucky winner! Oh and... it is basic use of fragments cos the fancy use of them will appear later in the series of challenges...excellent!! Have a goodly day... TTFN

A Song In My Heart...

...you know that book... you know the one... the one that when I first got it I said "huh?" cos I didn't quite expect it to be like it is??? What am I on about??? A Compendium of Curiosities is what I am waffling about today... The truth is, when I first bought it I didn't really think much of it.. maybe cos I was expecting it to be like Tim's other books... but... I am eating my words right this mo as I keep getting tonnes of inspiration from it... and today is another day of taking ideas from the book and making something myself :O)

The card is based on a card on Page 72 of the book - and cos I am a lucky gal and have the Heart Alteration Die I managed to put something together... however! I haven't got a sewing machine to make the stitches on the ribbon, so I left mine off... actually that is a bare faced lie, I do have a sewing machine, it is a huge one that is really jazzy and does loads of things, I am toooooo thick to even thread it properly... so I thought... how about buying one of those diddy ones... you know the type, teensy but perfect for papercrafting...whatcha fink? Are they any good and if so, would a simpleton like me be able to use it??? *This is the girl who was thrown out of Needlework class at school for breaking toooo many sewing machines... I ended up doing Metalwork ROFL*

All of the stashy bits on the card are available from The Artistic Stamper... I used a Texture Fade for the middle bit of card... and then Distress Inks, Grungeboard, Grungepaper, Gold Dabber, Rock Candy Stickles, Old Paper Cracklepaint and gold UTEE (for the crown)... thanks for looking... there's a heck of a lot of noise coming from the garden again, sounds like blackbirds again... Alfie is out there with his friend Foxes and I am pretty sure they are up to no good! TTFN

Sunday Stamper - Week 108 - Metal Guru + Candy Winner :O))

Morning Stampers... apologies for the late posting of the new challenge... Mr Internet decided to go on strike last night and I had no connectivity at all...this morning it is soooooo slow, like Dial Up used to be, so I can't upload the pics of my entry at the moment, will keep trying!! Anyway... First an foremost... I have just gotten all the emails off the server and checked the comments on the post from last week to make sure I haven't missed anyone...and am not going to be a few mins while I get the winner picked (at random) from all the entries...don't forget, if you entered and linked, you get in twice :O)) Right, am back, all the names were entered into a bowl (haven't got a hat...) and the winner of my Birthday Candy Giveaway is...

CHRISSIE - Congrats to you.. please can you email me your addy so I can pop the candy into the post for you :O))

Right, on with the theme for this weeks challenge - which is METAL. To join in all you need to do is make a piece of art, add in the theme and some stamping, leave me a comment with a link to the place you are showing your art so I can then pop and see you :O)) There isn't any point in me waffling on about how I made my entry cos you can't see it at the moment...still not enough oooomph to get the pics uploaded... I will be back! Later.... much much later!!! Honestly, all I wanted to do was upload a few pics and one thing and another gets in the way... like this which happened this morning... Grim is sitting in the living room watching... yep, you guessed it... football... I am up in my room trying to get this Sunday Stamper post done... when Grim comes up to tell me that Alfie has brought something into the kitchen... *I pause at this moment to tell you that AlfieCat is a VERY bad boy... yesterday morning I couldn't sleep so me and AlfieCat had an early morning coffee in the garden at 5am...and then he brought me a baby blackbird, like I really didn't need to see the poor thing clasped in his vice like chops... anyhow's, I managed to rescue said blackbird and all was well...* So I dreaded going to the kitchen to see what he had massacred... when it turns out he has brought home "Foxes"... you know, that ginger cat that is still...erm... intact in the boy region. Grim said that Foxes was sitting on the worktop, bold as brass! AlfieCat and Foxes have been sunbathing on the decking today... Foxes doesn't like me though... so when he cops sight of me he scarpers!

Here I am waffling on about cats when I should be telling you about the Sunday Stamper piece I made... using a 7Gypsies Printers Tray, filled with decorated bits of card, Grungepaper and metal... the embossing is using the new Texture Fades and the stamping is both PaperArtsy (HotPicks) and Tim Holtz collection.

The hearts are made with UTEE... the middle sized one I bought last week in a little shop in Whitby and made a mould with it... and the diddy one is a cookie cutter, although why anyone would want a cookie that small is beyond me ROFL I added on loads of Idea-ology bits, painting the Bracket with Trad Tan, sanding it and then using a photo image from the Lost & Found stack. The metal roses are made from the HotPicks plate - available HERE... I love those new Hot Picks... and am well chuffed that I have both now having had one for my birthday :O)) The UTEE heart that has wings behind it was made by melting Gold, Silver and Bronze UTEE in the Melt Pot and then drizzling into the mould...and I was ever so BRAVE... Mr Holtz says in his C of C book that he cut his Idea-ology wings with his Tonic Studio scissors...well, if Tim can do it, so can I ... so I did..and YES! It works and the scissors ain't damaged!

Right, the deets about how to join in are above (if you have gotten this far reading my babblings).. thanks for looking...oh and Happy Father's Day to all you chaps out there... AlfieCat was ever so clever and went and bought a card and a Tshirt for Grim...clever cat even wrote the card!!! TTFN

A Funking Good Heart...

...I said fuNking!!! Yep sireeee, today is my first day proper on the Bubbly Scrumptious DT Blog.. so I have made a post there with what I made.. and have hot footed it over here to show you a teensy taster...*oh, ok, I scheduled it.. I mean, me... up at 7am? ROFL*

Anyway, enough of my prattling on about my love of lounging in my bed.. which, I hasten to add, is very comfy indeedily, hence me enjoying lounging in it.. hey, I am off again with the waffling already! All the bits n bobs you need to know about how to make the piece and what I did etc are HERE.. please pop over if you get chance and leave me some feedback.. I am a very shy and retiring lass, as I am sure you will have all gathered by now (!).. so please be kind to me ROFL I am so chuffed & honoured to be asked to be part of the Bubbly Funk DT - I will be making my posts every Friday from now on... and, get this... sometimes I can post a... recipe!!! So... watch out cos I may just give the famous choccy cake recipe an outing... or the even less famous "swill" recipe an outing... there is a story behind the "swill" name - I will tell you about it one day :O))

Also today is my first proper day on the Fiskarette DT - I got sent a lovely box of Fiskars yummies to play with and made a little wall/door hanging jobby... all the "deets" for this are HERE. The piccie above is a sneaky peeps at what I made :O)) Now, are you a Fiskarette??? If not... why not??? It is a fab community to be part of and there are soooo many talented and inspirational artists on there, you should go and have a little look see if you get chance...otherwise, just go and see my piece and then you can leave me another lovely comment *here's hoping you already left one on the Bubbly Blog LOL* Only joking peeps... thanks for reading all my waffling... I think I am starting to suffer with that very common condition that only ever seems to rear its head between August and May each year - and then definitely once every FOUR years for about...ooooh, far too long... I think it is called Football Widow-itis! Actually, Grim has been rather restrained and only watched about 73 games so far and re-watched the goals like a million zillion times... anyone else have this problem I wonder??? And... I am thinking...*don't worry, I am sitting down*... if Grim is watching the footy, then that means I can sneak off to the Room of Stash and play without him noticing... result!!! oooh and before I go... don't forget that you have only a couple of days to join in with the Sunday Stamper birthday bonanza candy giveaway... click HERE for deets on how to enter... tis worth is cos the goodies are yummy :O* Thanks for looking....TTFN...

Thanks For The Time...

...WhoooHoooo and Wheyyyy Heyyyy! Grim is a darling isn't he? He popped into my room yesterday and added the three remaining shelves to the walls.. so...the Room of Stash/Room One 4 is now complete and finished and ready to mess up again! :O)) I have had this urge to start collecting clocks... so for the past year or so I have been dropping huge hints to His Grimness that I need that clock or I looooved this one especially! Well, he bought me two clocks for my birthday... they are lush *the cream one on the RHS and the one in the hangy wirey thing* ... and I now have a dedicated shelf for clocks, some are old, some are new but I loooove them all! See the little one on the wall below the shelf??? I bought that one in a divine shop in Whitby... and being as I am now officially a collector, I have left enough room up there for another couple :O)) *more hints can be dropped to Grim in future you see... a plan!!!*

And, you know we went away for the weekend to the best place on this planet that is Earth? Well, we couldn't very well leave our AlfieCat to open his own food sachets so our lovely neighbour called in to feed him... so I made her a thank you card.. you know, just to say...erm... thanks!

I used a tried and tested method and layout - you will probably be nodding off if I keep on making this type of card... Distress Inks - Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, Crushed Olive and Forest Moss... a bit of stamping using that massive music score stamp from Mr Holtz and then a big flower made up of little flowers from the Tattered Florals Alterations. The sentiment is from Penny Black, popped into/onto (which is it? Do you pop something into a Memo Pin or onto a Memo Pin.. anyway, I am off rambling on again) a Memo Pin from the Idea-ology range. The inks, stamps, flower centre, Alterations and Idea-ology are all available from The Stamp Attic...

That's all from me for now.. the sun is cracking the flagstones out there and there isn't a cloud in the sky so I reckon it could be time for a bit of lounging about in the sunshine and aging my already wrinkled old skin a little more ROFL TTFN .. have a goodly day :O))

PS - just to answer a couple of Q's about the hares in yesterday's post... they are indoor creatures and I just let them out onto the decking for the photo shoot :O))

WOYWW.... OR... WOMDW....& A Tag!

... WOMDW... which roughly translates to .. What's on my Decking Wednesday... as promised, pics of the hares I have been collecting...two are bronze and two are terracotta, the terracotta ones are not made anymore and apparently they are really rare! Yipyah and thrice, I have two!! Moongazer was the first arrival, I love him.. but the Relaxing one (or the lazy cool dude as I prefer to call him) is my newest and my favest of the moment!

So, WOYWW again.. already! This time last week I was a young pipsqueak and now I am an old bag ROFL I have a piccie of my desks... messy and in need of more mess cos I have a few things to make today... if you have happened across my blog and wonder what I am waffling on about... WOYWW is a fab get together of bloggers each week, led by Julia ... click her name to see what I am on about... she explains it so much better than moi! Answering a few peeps' questions asking, did Grim get me any more shelves for my birthday??? The answer is no .. BUT, I have three here waiting to be installed, and he is doing that today!! Hurrah!! *actually, I better get a move on cos I can hear the drill being revved up LMAO*

Also, here is a tag I have made as the penultimate countdown tag on Linda's countdown to .. erm.. now, where is she is going, can't remember, she hasn't mentioned it much recently *like in the past few seconds ROFL*

I used some Grungepaper covered in old music score and ran it thru the Bug using an Alteration... added some wings, which are GP covered in Tissue Tape... the tag was coloured by squishing Old Paper, Brushed Corduroy and Walnut Stain inks onto my craft sheet, spritzing with water, dipping, drying, dipping again, til I had the look I wanted :O))

Right, am offski to get some arty things done... thanks for looking... have a goodly day and if you didn't know already, the Sunday Stamper this week has some FAB candy I am giving away as a Birthday special... click HERE for the deets .. TTFN

Bleached Out...

...Tim styleeeeee... Linda Ledbetter is running a FAB Compendium of Curiosities challenge... *click her name to read all about it.. and there is CANDY too!!!* today is to do something using the deets on page 35 of the book... let me just say, the bleached out effect does look better in real life but light is fading outside and my camera just wouldn't stop flashing...dirty boy ROFL

I have used a variety of DI's to colour a tag - Pumice Stone, Wild Honey, Tumbled Glass and Forest Moss... then I chopped off the bottom of it using an Alteration, I am just loving those new dies.. they are... to... die for LMAO

I got the basic inspiration for the tag from Tim's blog... I have a little concern that I left my Mojo in North Yorks cos the first three tags I started went in to the bin! Honestly, I have a couple of days off and look what happens... anyways.. when I feel a lack of Mojo, I visit Tim's blog and then try and crib some ideas... which is what I done this time!

Now, get this for a goodly idea - not sure if I have seen it before but I got some FAB Tissue Tape for my birthday (thanks Wendy :O)) and decided to cover some Grungepaper with it, layering the strips right next to each other and then ran the piece thru the Bug and used the birdy Alteration... coloured the birdy with a bit of DI and then added a Grungeboard scrolly shape, popped some Distress Embossing Powders onto some Idea-ology Foliage... then popped them onto the scroll. As well as popping this onto Linda L's blog for the C of C challenge, I am also adding it to Linda E's blog .. now, we all know she is off to Ranger U and to be honest, how she is managing to keep a lid on her excitement is beyond me, I would be bouncing off the walls already LOL But, she is making countdown Tags and I am joining in too... and so can you! Click her name to see what she is up to! Thanks for looking.... TTFN

Spoiled Rotten...

Yep... that is moi... spoiled totally rotten this weekend and I have had THE BEST birthday ever!!! Grim and I headed off for our favest place in the whole world on Saturday morning... so where is this place huh? North Yorkshire... near to Whitby but inland and it is a small little hamlet with a B&B, a pub and a beck... this will be our 8th time up there and 6th time staying at the same B&B but is is just perfection, as soon as we get there, the shoulders drop and the happiness just floods in... *and... guess what??? on the way there, we stopped off in Pickering and got proper Northern fish n chips, then drove up the Moors, sat in the car and stuffed our faces, you should have seen me, covered in grease afterwards but heck, it was worth it!!*

THANK YOU everyone for the lovely birthday messages, comments and emails...sorry I haven't been able to reply to you yet, we haven't been home long and a certain little black n white furball wanted cuddles big style.. our neighbour came in to feed him so he didn't have to go to the Cattery... he was pleased about that too :O))

I can honestly say this... I LOVE being 40!!!! Seriously, I sat there yesterday morning opening my heaven pressies and cards.. blimey, I mean I was spoiled daft... thank you everyone who sent me a card - I really loved them all and so appreciate it... I have made some wonderful pals in Blogland... *can you tell I am a bit euphoric at the moment??? LOL*

So, Grim bought me a beautiful silver pendant, it has Whitby Jet and Mother of Pearl in a checker pattern (matches Ferdy's roof - and you all know black n white is my fave) and the other side of the pendant is inlaid with pink mother of pearl... I got tonnes of stash - seriously big stylee happy dancing going on with the stash I got!!! And.. Grim bought me the pub that we go to when we are up there.. it is called the Birch Hall Inn, click the name, you can see it... yes, he bought me a pub!!! Actually, it is a scale model of the pub and cos it is my favest place in the world, he planned it all out and managed to actually get it without me sussing it out!!! Here's a pic of my birthday goodies...told ya, I was spoiled!!!

I got some CD's - the Lady GaGa one I have been wanting for yonks, I love GaGa and her voice is just beautiful... then I got a divine pen and pencil which are engraved with my name and the date, that is all I had asked for but Grim pushed the boat out for me bless him! And.. finally, I got the last hare for my collection, he is a dude, I will take a photo of them all together later and blog it.. they are beautiful...

So, between the insane ramblings of a very excited 40 year old bat, there are some pics of the North Yorkshire Moors... Grim took them, that is why they are good ROFL I have to go now though... cos... on the way home, we called back at Pickering and bought more fish n chips, brought them home and I am going to pop them into the oven and reheat them... we do that when my Dad visits (he lives next to the best chippy ever and brings 'em down for us!) So, tis time for me to eat again, I have stuffed my face this weekend... diet starts...erm...tomorrow LOL Thanks again EVERYONE... and for the Sunday Stamper comments too.. will pop by your blogs later to see what you have been up to... TTFN....

Hels x (a very happy Hels at that!!)
